Dr. Amy Weaver is a friendly and knowledgeable optometrist...., Mar 15, 2010 I went to this doctor for a routine eye exam and because my eyes were bothering me (burning, itching). The doctor's assistant did some basic eye tests before Dr. Weaver came in. The assistant was friendly and explained what she was doing. Dr. Weaver then came in, asked me some questions about my eyes and the problems I was having. She then did some test which included reading some charts and making some adjustments to letters I saw with me telling which were clearer. She put drops in my eyes to dilate my pupils and did some more tests. Nothing was painful and she explained everything she was doing. She recommended some eye drops to help relieve my burning eyes, gave me some free samples to try, and told me of an alternate treatment we would try if the eye drops didn't work. It was a pleasant visit.

They treat people badly and make you wait for hours..., Jan 1, 2012 Dr.Alberto Aran makes his money from medicare recipients who are old and usually suffering from many illnesses and problems, including finding it difficult to get to the doctor on their own. He makes then makes us all wait for many hours before seeing us and this is very hard for me because I have leg pains. He does many, many eye surgeries and claims to be good at them, but who knows. HOw could someone who runs his office so terribly and treats his own patients so badly be a good doctor His staff just follows his orders and they offer no help in scheduling wisely or dealing with problems. Do not choose this doctor if you can find another one who does not punish you with long waits and short visits. |

Dr Brening, Great and informative Dr. for Colposcopy and Pap Smears..., Dec 3, 2011 Dr. Brening is really nice, gentle, and I could tell he really cared about me as an individual. So hard to find Dr.'s that really care about their patients & will go the extra mile for them these days. This is my first time having a male Dr. and he made me feel totally comfortable during my exams. He calls me if he ever has questions regarding my medical history & took the time to get to know me and my problem, and is working on the best solution for ME. Great Doctor for SDSU students! |

Unprofessional office, Unneeded "surgery"............., Nov 22, 2011 The office was very unprofessional, front desk girl acted like she had better things to do than help people. Zero wait (now I know why). Doctor Chan came across nice and knowledgeable, but said my ears looked fine, but then proceeded to use a vacuum tool to suck any wax out of my ear, which would be fine except that insurance companies categorize that as "surgery" which means that it is no longer covered by insurance and I had to pay out of pocket. Doctor Chan performed unneeded surgery. I have to pay out of my own pocket for an unneeded (20 seconds at most) procedure. When I later complained to his office, they wouldn't remove the charge. Beware. |

lacking empathy and understanding, terrible bedside manner, rigid, will not think outside the box..., Nov 15, 2011 She is one of those doctors who feels her word is like the word of god and should not ever be questioned. But she does not take the time to delve into the facts and, thus, makes it impossible for her to make a well-informed decision. Quick to jump to (sometimes wildly inaccurate) conclusions and gets very invested in being right, so if you are a patient looking for a psychiatrist who works with you as a partner in your treatment and who respects your voice and input, I highly recommended continuing the search. This is a doctor who reinforced negative stereotypes of psychiatrists. I do not have any idea what her facilities and staff are like because I saw her as an inpatient. (The review form won't let me leave those pieces out though) |

Willard Andrews Oncologist Abington Hospital, Abington PA..., Sep 10, 2011 I can't say one good word about Dr. Andrews, nor Abington Hospital. It was a big mistake to rely on Dr. Andrew's to care for my elderly family member. The patient died, while Andrew's administered no cancer treatment. A top cancer center submitted a conflicting 2nd opinion. Andrews put a spin on the diagnose, to protect himself, at the ultimate expense of the patient. Andrews did not administer cancer treatment and the patient succumbed. There are plenty of very good cancer centers in the Abington, PA area. There is no reason to go to Abington Hospital and be subjected to Dr. Andrews. |
