Unprofessional office, Unneeded "surgery"............., Nov 22, 2011

The office was very unprofessional, front desk girl acted like she had better things to do than help people. Zero wait (now I know why). Doctor Chan came across nice and knowledgeable, but said my ears looked fine, but then proceeded to use a vacuum tool to suck any wax out of my ear, which would be fine except that insurance companies categorize that as "surgery" which means that it is no longer covered by insurance and I had to pay out of pocket. Doctor Chan performed unneeded surgery. I have to pay out of my own pocket for an unneeded (20 seconds at most) procedure. When I later complained to his office, they wouldn't remove the charge. Beware.
Fine needle aspiration for suspicious thyroid nodule..., Nov 4, 2011

I had an ultrasound to investigate a nodule found my endocrinologist. The us revealed some suspicious findings so a fine needle aspiration was scheduled. This Dr. rushed through an ultrasound provided by a tech that made me question her skills, and then pronounced that both the radiologist and the endo were incorrect in calling what I had a nodule nor was he concerned about it and he wouldn't do the aspiration.
i recommend this man to anyone. Him and his office are wonderful!..., Nov 3, 2011

I have seen many chiropractors in my life but I have been with Dr. Wertin for 3 yrs now. His staff is friendly, office is welcoming, and a convenient location. Dr. John himself is very knowledgeable and caring. I recommended him to everyone I know that is looking for someone in the Manhattan area.
  Beware - Malpractice ..., Sep 23, 2011

I went under the knife in May 2011 to have a large fibro lipoma removed from my upper spine. Dr. Kramer performed the surgery, and it seemed all was well. It was evident within a couple weeks that there was still a fairly good sized bulge remaining. After waiting for the wound and stitches to heal, and for the swelling to go down, I went back in to see Dr. Kramer about the tumor still present. To my astonishment, all Kramer had to say was that he probably should have had me laying on my stomach for the operation rather than on my side, and therefore he only removed part of the tumor. I was informed my only option was to go back under the knife for a second operation, and would now have to pay double the amount originally paid, all due to the malpractice of the doctor. Even though I returned within less than 90 days, Kramer and staff were unwilling to assist me with out-of-pocket expenses, even after they admitted fault. When I asked why I should have to pay twice to have something done that should have been taken care of with one surgery, Kramer immediately got an attitude with me and had the gall to state that I was asking him to commit insurance fraud. All I was asking was that my additional out of pocket fees for their work to be billed to their office rather than to me, which seems perfectly fair, considering they didn't do what I paid them to do. Now I'm facing the fact that I have to once again take time off from work, pay TWICE (~$2K) for the same procedure, and basically deal with all the unpleasantness of going to the hospital and dealing with another surgery and recovery. I am astonished at the complete unwillingness of Advanced Surgical Associates - notably Dr. Kramer - to take accountability and make things right. At this time, I'm seeking assistance from an attorney to lodge a malpractice suit. Needless to say, I am one EXTREMELY dissatisfied customer, and I sincerely hope you heed my words and take your business and health to a more experie
