  My eye opening experience with a surgeon and cancer doctor...., Feb 23, 2010

I never went to the doctor because I was never sick. I decided to have a physical and mammogram for the first time at 43. Cancer was found in my breast. I went to the surgeon and she removed the breast. I wasn't really given any insight on what was happening and I didn't know the proper things to ask. When I was done and went for my final check up with her, I asked her what I should do as followup now to keep an eye on the other breast or any other part of my body. My mom had started with breast cancer and ended with bone cancer before she died. Dr. looked me in the eye and told me it didn't matter because if I got it in the other breast I was just going to die anyway. I left the office feeling like someone had kicked me in the stomach. I would not recommend this doctor to anyone!

I went to see Dr. Aaron Geswaldo for my kidney stones. I was in so much pain. When I walked in through the doors the staff welcomed me and made me feel at ease. One of his assistants called my name and she was so very pleasant. Dr. Geswaldo came into the room and immediately made me feel better. He gave me his personal cell phone number to call him if I had any problems. I have never had a better experience at a doctor's office.

I had a spinal tap, in order to insure that my persistent flu like symptoms and fever weren’t meningitis. I saw Dr. Thakur to follow up. I had a persistent headache, and he informed me that it was a spinal tap related headache. It was caused by leaky spinal fluid. He advised me to go home, lie flat, and wait for it to go away. It never went away. I used up all of my sick leave at a new job. My headache was present whenever I was upright. These headaches are a lot like migraines in their level of pain. After many weeks, I asked him about a blood patch. My supervisor at work had the same problem after a spinal tap in the past. He told me about it. After I made the suggestion to Dr. Thakur, he referred me to have one. I felt better before I was off the table. Because I’ve had a problem with doctor’s failing to listen and/or address my ailments in the past, I stopped seeing Dr. Thakur. He’s a nice enough guy. It’s easy to establish a rapport with him, but, ultimately, he left me in pain for far too long. Missing days of work, in the modern age, is a quick way to lose your job. I need someone who is mindful of that fact and considerate of my pain and discomfort.

For the past several years, Dr. Gizzie has been a partner with my doctor. However, my doctor was in surgery, and I was having pain in my side as well as additional recognizable symptoms. However, from the moment I walked through the door, Dr. Gizzie was rude and unfriendly. She was obviously in a rush, made an unprofessional personal remark, and dismissed the idea of a miscarriage altogether (even though I have already had several and was well aware of the symptoms). Later that same day, my regular doctor confirmed through blood tests that I was pregnant; within a week, further blood tests confirmed that I did indeed have a miscarriage. I definitely would not recommend Dr. Gizzy to anyone.

I would recommend this doctor to others who are struggling with mental health issues. I visited her at the suggestion of a friend because I am experiencing depression. She was very helpful and easy to talk to. Her office was pleasant and inviting and the front desk staff was very informative and quick to help.

I was refered by a friend of mine to see Dr. Li for a neck pain. Dr. Li not only was able to give me a consultation regarding my neck pain and my overall health condition during my first visit but also gave me my first acupuncture treatment. He aslo gave me many good tips regarding sleep gestures and food choice. The office is new and clean. The front desk lady was friendly and helpful too. I have scheduled my 2nd appointment with Dr. Li and planned on continuing my treatment.
