  Avoid at all costs!!! Terrible doctor who imposes conservative beliefs on patients!..., May 21, 2013

I had slim pickings with my new HMO so I chose Dr. Galiano because he was downtown near my office. I was always in/out in 30 minutes which was great BUT he would always make snide comments to me. He asked "Why would you need a blood test for STDs? Are you promiscuous?" All I wanted was to get a checkup and figured I could test for STDs since they were already taking my blood. I didn't need a judgement. Recently I went in to get a blood test to see if I was pregnant. This was an unplanned pregnancy so it was really scary. He proceeded to lecture me by saying "The body is made for reproducing and you should not be having sex if you do not want to reproduce." I have never been more offended in my life! He also refused a blood test because he said it would be a waste of money and I needed to wait longer than 2.5 weeks. 2.5 weeks or not I was scared and needed medical guidance in which I received judgement and lectures. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!

Something has happened since he joined NYU. No one answers the phones, have to call for weeks just to get a response, long wait with doc spending no time with you. This is not the level of care or service people expect from a doctor.

In a few words? - Horrible bed side manner; dodged questions and threatened to quit when we inquired about alternative treatment methods. This dude is older than the internet as we know it and he was throwing hissy-fits like a rabid Bieber-fan. - Extremely pessimistic. Every conversation boiled down to DEATH. Look, I get that cancer is no walk in the park, but rubbing our faces in it is counterproductive and honestly, believe it or not, does more harm than good. After the nth time of being told "HE IS GOING TO DIE," we stopped talking to him about and kept his patient visits short. - Biggest gripe? Cancer research is a constantly developing field and new, novel discoveries are made often enough that you might spot it in the newspaper or online. It should have been a huge red flag when this so-called M.D. was absolutely clueless about significant changes in our understanding of how cancer works. Final remarks? He gave up on our father when we walked through the door the first time. Had we known of his lazy, outdated way of treatment, we would have walked right back out of that room without hesitation.

Doctor Masri leaves one wondering what planet he’s from regarding some of the questionable voodoo science he advocates and the dismissive attitude he takes to other specialists. He’s very big on advocating the use of a highly expensive allergy test that insurance companies won’t cover (that should clue you up) and which is largely discredited by allergy specialists and a medical community that sees it as outdated science that renders far too many false positives and verges on the kind of quackery one would normally associate with the more outrageous claims of some in the alternative medicine community. Dr. Masri also took it upon himself to render ‘expert’ opinion on a bowel condition I’ve had for some years and which he claimed was all down to allergies and diet, thus segueing into his advocacy for the testing process mentioned above. The views expressed ran contrary to every opinion I’ve been given by a number of gastroenterologists through the years regarding my condition and how I should treat it, but what was even more disturbing was the manner in which he tried convincing me to cancel my planned appointment for the periodic colonoscopy my condition requires to check for inflammation and any signs of cancer. All of this of course from a medical practitioner I’d made an appointment to see regarding a mole on my forehead that had given me cause for concern! To rub salt into the wound, a follow-up appointment to garner the results of a series of blood tests that were taken on my first visit showed that the clinic has as little respect for the time of its patients as it has for their intelligence when peddling garbage science. My appointment was for a little past 9 in the morning so I theoretically must have been one of the first patients for the day, yet 70 minutes later I had yet to see Dr. Masri, with no apology or explanation from the disinterested staff. Dr. David Brothers and staff are amazing!! He is very professional, very courteous, his office is in a private setting, individualized to your "needs" NOT his financial gain, and he is very compassionate. I have had multiple procedures from Dr. Brothers (tummy tuck, lypo) both with wonderful results. Dr. Brothers has injected BOTOX in my face as well for several years and those results have erased years off my face. I "do not" look over done; however, Dr. Brothers has an artistic eye to make me look just "right" for my body type and perfect my curves in a natural way. His work is simply amazing, so much that over a dozen of my friends have been recommended to him for referral work as well!!! I have visited the SPA services at Dr. Brothers office as well and had many facials/scrubs. They are simply "amazing"! They do not "pressure" you into using their lines or products; however, your face feels so smooth and soft that you sometimes treat yourself to a new skincare line and I often added a new lotion/serum/cream each time. Pleased and PROUD to recommend Dr. David Brothers and Staff to any and all who seek plastic surgery, BOTOX injections and SPA services.
