Excellent results for a complex problem! He is great!..., Apr 10, 2013
I went to Dr. Brooks for a very complex reconstructive problem. He and his staff were so warm and friendly, I felt like I was visiting a friend's house! He listened very carefully to everything I told him and was able to diagnose and propose a plan for my problem. I was so happy with the results and the whole experience! I am now seeing him for some long overdue cosmetic surgery. I'm so excited!
Downhill fast since changes to office and move ..., Mar 7, 2013
Something has happened since he joined NYU. No one answers the phones, have to call for weeks just to get a response, long wait with doc spending no time with you. This is not the level of care or service people expect from a doctor.
Go to weight watchers instead don't waste your money here..., Mar 2, 2013
Waited over 45 minutes and only saw the Dr. for 3 minutes. He advised me to try using meal replacement shakes. I could have gotten the same advice from a weight watchers commercial and it wouldn't have cost me $300. I complained to Fairview and a nurse called me, she was very nice, but apparently Dr. Billington was too busy to help me. A month later I got a bill for $300 (this is after my insurance payment). Apparently Dr. Billington lives up to his name, I hope he enjoys his yacht while I lose my house.
Unfortunately, I can't recommend her. Lacks privacy sensitivity!..., Feb 6, 2013
I saw this doctor once. Her office is very small which would be fine, except while I was there in the waiting room, I could hear everything she was saying during her phone conversation with the insurance company or someone like that. This included the patient's i.d. number, medical problems, lab report results, etc. I couldn't believe it! Doesn't this violate HIPPA laws?? She was using a phone in the front reception area but could prevent this by having a phone in back part of office. Toward the end of our appt., I told her I was concerned about her making calls from phone in front, and I could hear everything she was discussing about a patient. Instead of taking responsibility for the situation, she blamed it on her office, other patients, and then me. She said that that unfortunately she has a small office; that sometimes the reception door gets left open when patients walk in; and that most patients aren't listening for something like that. LOL, ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!!! She may be a good doctor regarding a broken bones and such (I don't know), but she is clueless about protecting patient privacy! No thanks!
Dr. Asher is the best ENT you'll find. She combines high intelligence with natural talent and a focu..., Dec 6, 2012
Dr. Asher has saved my life twice. My first visit to her office, she fixed a week of botched care from my former GP that had me in a very bad situation. A year later, she rushed to the hospital to stop my life-threatening bleeding. In every visit I've had with her, she's shown nothing but extreme competence, which I've found to be incredibly rare. Most doctors seem to just guess at the problem and toss out random pills. It's quite obvious Dr. Asher actually knows what she's doing and she's laser focused on getting things right the first time. She's actually fixed all my ENT problems so that now I only see her when I'm bringing someone else to her. She's also the first and only doctor I've ever recommended.
Bottom line: if you've gone 'round and 'round with other doctors trying to get your ENT problems fixed and you're ready to be done with it, make an appointment with Dr. Asher. You'll get more actual care in one visit with her than you've gotten everywhere else up 'til then.
