  Urgent Care Provides Excellent Service in Macon, GA..., Jan 31, 2010

Quite recently I took rather ill while visiting with my sisters and was taken to the Medical Center of Central, GA. The staff were very courteous at the front desk and patient with me as I was rather weak from lack of energy. While the waiting time to see the doctor was longer than I would have liked in my condition I understood that service was on a first come first serve basis at this center. When I finally saw the doctor he checked vital areas that often cause people discomfort, and understood my meager explanations of what was wrong. He always made eye contact with me, and had an aura of confidence about him and his work. After diagnosis, which he explained to me, I was given a shot by the nurse who told me every step of the way what she was doing and why. I would definitely recommend Dr. Lane and his staff to friends for their exceptional service and care.

  unresponsive, indifferent medical office with lack of urgency..., Nov 29, 2011

Staff is cold, indifferent, with no sense of urgency. I was extremely concerned about some test results but when I called every few days to ask if they were in, I was made to feel that I was bothering them and there was no attempt to give me an idea of when they would be in, or to expedite results more quickly. I waited a half four to see the doctor, she looked at her watch and made me feel rushed when I was in for the exam. Medical advice seemed reasonable but the lack of urgency or empathy made it a frustrating experience.

I had to wait over 45 minutes for my appointment. As other reviewers noted, I didn't feel like she wanted to hear what I had to say. I would constantly be interrupted. She offered services like laser hair removal and a facial, but it sounded like a sales pitch, even though she said she doesn't make money off of the facials. I liked the staff. But I will definitely look into another doctor in the future.

These comments are in no way, shape, or form meant as a bashing. This is only meant to communicate my experience with Dr. Ronald Leo over the last several years.It is my opinion that Dr Leo has very poor communication skills and is almost rude when asked for specific details regarding ill side effects and adverse reactions for treatments or medications he has presrcibed to me. On one occassion, he prescribed medication to me that I suffered moderate to severe side effects and when told about it he basically told me that it was all in my head. It seems everytime I have an appointment I spend most of it trying to prove that I am sick. When calling on the phone, I have always had to leave a message which is acceptable if you get a returned call in a timely manner which was very rare. I am disatisfied with the manner in which my health condition has been handled as well as the service he provides. I have requested to see another Dr in the same clinic which requires his consent but he would not give consent. There are 14 other Drs in this clinic that I am not able to use due to this and I now have to seek treatment elsewhere.
