NOT HAPPY WITH MY VISIT to see Dr. Sewall for ears!..., Jan 18, 2012 I was very unhappy with my initial visit to this doctor. I was treated rudely by the doctor, who talked down about other medical professionals, and made me as the patient feel like my symptoms were not important nor cause for concern. Instead of offering me more information to help me understand, he simply stated that he knew what was "not wrong" = NOT HELPFUL! I would not recommend this doctor for his bedside manner, his knowledge, or his professionalism! |

misdiagnosed and dismissed by this doctor serious condition..., Jan 6, 2012 Extremely friendly and bright, saw him for years while he couldn't figure out my medical issue. When it worsened extremely and I fell violently ill for weeks, I pressed him for an answer and he became angry, dismissive and misdiagnosed me. Finally, he sent a referral in the mail, with instructions to call his office, but his office couldn't find a specialist for me (liver) and he put no urgency on the referral. I had to find my own surgeon and it took me months to get in as a self referred person. Surgeon wanted to operate the following week, it was that serious. |

Worst customer service from a Dr.'s office that I have ever witnessed..., Nov 17, 2011 On November 16th, 2011 I wanted to go to Dr. Salas to find out what was causing the pain in my neck and back. When I called the office to schedule an appointment, a woman named Mary Ann picked up. I asked where the address was and she rudely said that it was across the street from the hospital. I didn’t know where the hospital was, and wanted to get the address from her so I could GPS it. She wouldn’t give it to me for some reason. It didn’t bother me at first, but when I told her I would be there in 20 minutes to fill out paper work, she said whatever and hung up the phone on me. I thought it was extremely rude and that maybe I should just find a different doctor. I called back to try and talk to Dr. Salas about the issue, but Marry Ann would not get him for me or give me his email address. I told her I would not schedule an appointment with them if she was going to continue being rude and having poor customer service. Before I could even ask for Dr. Salas’ email address she hung up on me. I really wanted to talk to Dr. Salas and inform him of Mary Ann’s rude behavior, so I went into his office to speak with him. I asked to speak with a supervisor and it ended up being Mary Ann. I told her I was offended by how rude she was and that I would like to speak with Dr. Salas or to give me his email address. She said if I didn’t leave she would call the cops on me. I couldn’t believe it, all I wanted was an email address, but she thought she could call the cops on me so Dr. Salas wouldn’t find out, or receive a complaint about her. I never was rude or used foul language to instigate such a response from her. I guess she has never heard of the internet. I never had the chance to actually meet Dr. Michael Salas, so I can’t review on how he is as a doctor, but after I witnessed who he hired as a supervisor. I am inclined to think that he must not be that good if he can’t hire someone with good customer service. It all starts at the top with a business’ |

lacking empathy and understanding, terrible bedside manner, rigid, will not think outside the box..., Nov 15, 2011 She is one of those doctors who feels her word is like the word of god and should not ever be questioned. But she does not take the time to delve into the facts and, thus, makes it impossible for her to make a well-informed decision. Quick to jump to (sometimes wildly inaccurate) conclusions and gets very invested in being right, so if you are a patient looking for a psychiatrist who works with you as a partner in your treatment and who respects your voice and input, I highly recommended continuing the search. This is a doctor who reinforced negative stereotypes of psychiatrists. I do not have any idea what her facilities and staff are like because I saw her as an inpatient. Not a nice person and untrustworthy doctor - Very sad experience..., Nov 1, 2011 He recommended a hysterectomy for a one inch fibroid and said surgery was the only option. The problem was I had lower right groin pain and not uterine pain. He felt the fibroid - how could he make such a big mistake? Unless he just wanted to perform surgery and make some money. Problem was - it devastated me. A morsel of caring from him would have been nice, instead, he pretty ruthlessly kicked me out. A family member said she had never seen a doctor be so cold and so cruel. |
