Horrible staff! Very Rude! I do not recommend this practice!..., Nov 4, 2011 Very disrespectful staff, they act as though you are nothing but a waste of time. Very rude over the phone. One employee in particular (I will not post name) needs lessons on how to treat others. Just down right RUDE!!!! Should not be in buisness!

0/10. Dr. Mendel's sloppy medical practice set me back over 2 years worth of training progress...., Apr 10, 2012 I injured my shoulder in 2010 while training with a barbell. This is the doctor I ended up going with while looking for a sports medicine doctor who specializes in shoulders. After waiting 3 months for my appointment, and 45 minutes waiting at their office for my appointment, I got maybe 5 minutes of time with the doctor. He ignored me completely when I tried explaining the type of pain I'm going through, and when the injury occurred. He injected my shoulder with cortizone, and told me it was just inflammation. In 2012, my shoulder is getting worse, to the point where I can't ignore the pain at all. I schedule an appointment with a different doctor and the University of Iowa, and on the first appointment, they schedule an arthrogram and MRI. The MRI confirmed that I have a tear in my labrum. If Dr. Mendel would have listened to me, this would have been dealt in 2010, and I would be able to continue training. But now I need surgery, and recovery looked like it'll take between 6-12 months. I can't train during that time. All this because Dr. Mendel refused to give quality healthcare (but still charge a premium healthcare price). My only regret is that this review will give Dr. Mendel 1 star, when it's currently at 0. |

this docotor is terriable, very unethical. Dont go!..., Mar 27, 2012 This doctor is not ethical. Don't go! I had my first appointment with him on March 9th, I was just going for some regular check up. I was scheduled at 9:00 a.m. and I arrived there about 9:20 since I was having difficulty finding the place. There were other 4 people waiting there already, obviously they were putting more people than they should have. The worse thing was, the doctor did not show up until 10.00 a.m. I really did not know what is the reason for them to put so many people waiting while the doctor was not even there. I waited more than 2 hours to finally get to talk to the doctor, he was cold, and gave me a lib test and told me that I would learn a result in a week. But until March 20, 2012 I have never heard back from them. So I called the office asking the receptionist what was going on. She said she would look for my file and call me back. However, after 6 hours she did not call me back. So I called her again she finally told me that On the report it said abnormal but she did not know what it is, so you need to come back to the office. Then I asked her why the doctor could not simply give me an answer about his diagnosis, she said that was their policy that the doctor does not talk to patient over the phone. Instead all patients have to go back to the office to learn that. I told her it is ridiculous because I have already paid my doctors visit fee and lab test fee, I deserve to know the answer from the doctor. But she kept repeating that is their policy, if I want to know, I have to come to this office to pay another office visit fee. I don't really mind paying, but how would anybody feel the doctor telling you that you need to pay one more time to learn your diagnosis you have paid before and you don't even deserve to know whether this is urgent or not. This is totally unethical, I would not go back to this office and I would file further complaint against them. |

Excellent cosmetic surgeon who is very comforting and has the eye of an artist...., Feb 28, 2012 I was nervous about my visit. However, Dr. Steinsapir has a very impressive website and the information seems very in depth. He is a board certified ophthalmologist and is on staff at UCLA. He fellowship trained in both cosmetic surgery and oculofacial surgery. I got a goofy under eye Restylane treatment at another office with lumps under my eyes that have never been right. I was told by my original surgeon who is a very famous Beverly Hills surgeon that there was nothing wrong and the material disappears anyway. That was a year ago. Well within 15 seconds of being injected by Dr. Steinsapir with an enzyme these ugly bumps were gone. Since then I have had his microdroplet BOTOX, a patented method that is amazing and also under eye Restylane. Literally I look 15 years younger. I highly recommend this doctor! |

3 months 4 appt.- brought actual MRI, but not enough..., Feb 23, 2012 After waiting for over 3 months for my appointment, I arrived carrying all the necessary MRI's (which all my other doctor's said was the preferred method, so they could see & interpret on their own,) she refused to even talk with me until I could present the 'doctor's notes' that went with the MRI's. She was very unpleasant, but 'offered' me the opportunity to 're-schedule' - Not necessary. I didn't want to return to someone who apparently did not trust herself enough to read the MRI's with out seeing what a different doctor had interpreted before her. Not recommended - Not even nice! |

Wouldn't send my worst enemy to him or his staff. Avoid at all cost!..., Feb 17, 2012 I've been to lots of doctors in my time, but "Doctor Carter" (if he so can be called) is the worst. Not even a close second. He spent roughly 15 minutes in the room with me, in which, 10 of those minutes were him typing my information into a computer. Never even listened to my symptoms, just typed. Also, I had to argue endlessly with his nurse to write me a higher amount of my prescription, even after my insurance had agreed to a higher amount. She was just too lazy to write it, or confirm with the insurance company. Stay away if you care about your health! His staff is equally useless. I requested my lab results 4 TIMES before they sent them out 1 MONTH later. It's sad, but he has jaded me to the medical profession. If you don't care about people, why become a doctor? |
