Hour and a half wait, 90 seconds of diagnosis and misery....., Feb 9, 2012

I blame myself for going to this Dr. a second time. He is very rude and has you waiting in an exam room for nearly as long as in the waiting room. The man is obnoxious and presumes to diagnose your syptoms with 2 or 3 questions and without a thorough exam. His staff is unhelpful and appear to fear the Dr. No bedside manner whatsoever. There is more warmth from an emergency room than in this office. Stay away !

DO THESE THINGS BEFORE YOU COMMIT TO SURGERY WITH DR. ALDEA: 1) Ask for the refund policy before you pay ANYTHING. You might not be provided the refund policy after you've paid the deposit. There are many outs for him not to return money if the surgery doesn't happen. 2) Don't be fooled by the good reviews out there. Some sites allow surgeons to only display the good reviews and not the negative ones. 3) Research to see if there are any lawsuits filed against him first. My experience with Dr. Aldea was NOT pleasant. He showed up 1 hr late for my surgery. Many of the nursing staff at St. Francis commented that he's frequently late and his surgeries always run over (which means you'll pay much more in the end!) On the OR table we both learned I had an irregular heartbeat. Dr. Aldea canceled the surgery but agreed to do it later if cardiac clearance was obtained. I got clearance which said that my condition was benign and to proceed with surgery as planned, but he never was satisfied, he found every excuse in the book not to do it. He dodged my calls for months! I wanted to get specifics from him on what he needed from the cardiologist. He kept having his patient coordinators say the same vague thing, "Dr. Aldea needs to know the surgery is safe for you." No cardiologist in their right mind will write "safe" in a letter. They will only say low-high risk. BTW 2 cardiologists wrote that I was low risk for the surgery and at no higher risk than a person who didn't have an irregular heartbeat. After many unreturned calls from Dr. Aldea, I got upset and asked for the truth and a refund if he didn't want to operate. He responded and said that I was ungrateful and here's your refund minus $750 deposit and he said that I didn't want the surgery. I responded that I did want the surgery but was tired of the run around and asked that he personally return a call so that we could clear up misunderstandings. Recomended foot surgery nat wasn't neccesary,be careful or better yet stay away. These kind of Doctors are some piece of work ,I have had alot of Doctors in my life and know the differance between the good and the bad

I have never been treated with such disrespect ever. There is a youong girl that works there I am not sure if she is an intern or what, but she is extremely rude and hangs up on people if she doesn't like what your saying. I thought doctors staff were suppose to be courteous, I guess I was wrong. Don't be fooled by their facade, the staff is obsurdely fake and don't care for the well being of anyone.

Unless you have addiction problems, I would not see this guy. Maybe he is better with alcoholics. With mental health issues, he is terrible, does not listen, does not care, will not answer your questions, and obviously has many preconceived notions that he is unwilling to explain.
