More interested in billing for office visits than needs of patient..., Feb 3, 2012

If you are looking for someone who lectures you on eating and exercise (even if you are fit and at target weight), if you are looking for a doctor who requires an office visit for any kind of information, this is your doctor. My own experience is that he tries to require more office visits than are necessary. I look for a doctor that is willing to establish a patient/doctor relationship with me and understand who I am and what my needs are. Sometimes that means just phoning in a prescription or giving advice over the phone.

Rip off billing codes... HORRIBLE customer service and always a huge hassle to deal with- Beware..., Nov 22, 2011

Deer family practice NEVER seems to operate smoothly... There is always an issue with Dr. Parkers CODING for insurance.... It seems that either the doctor or office staff intentionally uses codes they KNOW will not be paid by your insurance. This has happened more than once... I always feel as though I should keep my mouth shut to avoid tripping another code input into the computer system. These codes are knowingly input by the salivating doctor Parker... When you do finally get the bill, and are horrified about paying a few hundred dollars for a couple of prescriptions written in 6 min., good luck taking care of it with this office... Codes, hold times, transfers etc... Although most health offices are nightmares these days, this one is really bad... find another doctor...
Awful Dr, No Bedside Manner, no compassion, RUDE!!!..., Nov 15, 2011

Ive been Diabetic for 25yrs.I got ketones w/a reading of 849.Tried to get an emergency appt.He couldnt see me for 2wks!I ended up in a hosp. When he came to see me he treated me like a kid, didnt listen to me or my ?s.I thought it was insulin resistance W/o checking my meds or pump he said NO.I asked if it was allergies like a fever/cold causing insulin to not work properly, he said hed NEVER heard of that & told me to stop trying to come up w/ excuses. He asked why I hadnt come back to him sooner & it was b/c HE wanted me to go to other Drs before returning & it took time to do so.He asked how I had tried to get the B.S down & told me that once the B.S got 400+ that I shouldve taken a syringe, pulled up EXTRA insulin & injected it.I said a past Dr told me to do that but only w/a sliding scale & w/ Regular insulin not Novolog, that Id overdose. He showed NO BEDSIDE MANNER.I was in TEARS.THEN he sent a certified letter 2 days later dismissing me from his care w/o a reason!DO NOT GO TO HIM!
Scott Yegel had a wait time of 50 minutes Unacceptable!..., Oct 17, 2011

. I am most disappointed in the wait time. I waited over 50 minutes to be seen by the doctor. 50 minutes just to have him walk into my room!! I never received any feedback as to the wait and when I addressed the issue to the doctor he merely stated I'm sorry. If the wait time was going to be long, I would appreciate if the doctor/ receptionist asked me if I cared to reschedule, who said I didn't have something else to do? My time is just as valuable as any person, so when I schedule an appointment I expect to be seen at least within 15 minutes. After all, the receptionist is the one looking at the calendar to ensure I am placed in to a time that is compatible with the doctor's schedule. If I arrive late or do not call, I am billed anywhere from $50.00 to $200.00 depending on the incident. If the doctor arrives late, I get nothing except sorry and all my other appointments being thrown off at that time. Why is it OK for the doctor to be late but not the patient? If you have too many people scheduled or you can't wrap up an appointment in a timely manner, maybe you should try placing greater distance between the next patient, to allot for the overtime (which by the way I'm not getting paid for) in which the patient will be occurring. So many times people say this is the norm, this is not acceptable! If you arrive late at the doctor's office you are billed or asked to rescheduled, if you arrive late for an interview you will not get the job, if you arrive late at your job you will be fired. Why is it OK for a doctor in a doctor's office to be late for his/her patients? I had an appointment; I even brought in my paperwork already filled out. I didn't just walk in. I rescheduled an appointment for another doctor while waiting for the doctor to come in, upon him coming In, I left. He or she will no longer be privy to my money when I have to wait excessively.
