wonderful caring doctor- worth the wait every time...., Mar 19, 2011 Caring, professional, excellent diagnostic skills- very approachable & genuine- great sense of midwest humor. Dr. D. is 1st doc to actually LISTEN & take enought time to think through your issues leading to consistantly good results... Unfortunately, private practices must see lots of folks to cover basic expenses these days leading to longer wait times but the superior quality of care is worth it . A bonus: Some labwork can be done there rather than run all over town & nurse Vicki is wonderful!.

DR. D IS BEST doctor in town, conservative and smart, he makes feel like family and he really cares!..., Nov 25, 2010 DR. D'S SCHEDULE MAY B BEHIND SOMETIMES AND FOR FIRST TIMERS THEY TAKE IT WRONG, IF U R A REGULAR PATIENT U WOULD KNOW THAT THE DOC. DOES NOT JUST PUSH YOU IN AND OUT, NO MATTER HOW BEHIND. HE GIVES HIS FULL ATTENTION AND SUFFICENT TIME TO ASSIST IN WHAT YOU CAME IN FOR.. SO ITS A LOVE HATE, WOULD U RATHER HAVE AN OFFICE THAT GETS YOU IN AND OUT OR A DR. THAT WILL ACTUALLY SIT WITH YOU AND PROPERLY DIAGNOSIS PROBLEM TO BEST OF HIS ABILITIES... WORTH WAIT... THX DR. D J.P. AND FAMILY

I advise you NOT to bother with this guy or his staff..., Sep 7, 2010 Took me more than a month to get first appointment. I was early for the appointment. I waited more than an hour and gave up. I rescheduled the appointment TWO MONTHS later (first appointment they said was available). I was AGAIN early. Again, I waited more than an hour and gave up. Several drug reps came and went while I was waiting - THEY got right in. There is NO respect for the time of others and the office staff is rather sullen. I'd advise passing on this guy. It doesn't matter how good he is if you can't get to him - does it?

Buyer Beware This Dr. barely takes time to talk to the patient, then blindsides the family member...., Feb 9, 2012 I took my Mom in for a migraine. She had not slept for five days because of it and was hallucinating. Dr. Gagan didn't consider that her blood pressure meds. or her migraine meds or the meds they were giving her in an I. V. could have caused this. Or the fact that her thyroid was off. He recommended Resperidal for her. He left the info with me and split, his visit with her all of two minutes or so. I read the med. info and thought he was trying to kill her. It was for schizophrenics mainly. He also said it was for depression. I told him the next day I thought she just needed some sleep. He returned the next day pushing the same drug. I again answered in the negative. A few hours later the pill came via the nurse. At that point I thought I had no choice, as my last two answers had gone unnoticed. I foolishly gave my Mom the med. She became paranoid and scared for her life for the next three days. I was told they didnt know if she would ever be the same. She had two seizures and is now on Keppra. His only reply was that he could give her a different set of meds. He is cold and easily offended. He left me and the other Dr.s and nurses to clean up his mess. It took us eight days total. All over a migraine. All Dr.s covered for him. I'll never forgive myself for not fighting him to the death if thats what it took to defend my helpless Mom. |

unresponsive, indifferent medical office with lack of urgency..., Nov 29, 2011 Staff is cold, indifferent, with no sense of urgency. I was extremely concerned about some test results but when I called every few days to ask if they were in, I was made to feel that I was bothering them and there was no attempt to give me an idea of when they would be in, or to expedite results more quickly. I waited a half four to see the doctor, she looked at her watch and made me feel rushed when I was in for the exam. Medical advice seemed reasonable but the lack of urgency or empathy made it a frustrating experience. |

***************HORRIBLE, TERRIBLE, DO NOT USE!!!! ..., Oct 12, 2011 I went to the ER with what was diagnosed as gallstones and needed gall bladder removal surgery. He was sweet and funny and told me to call and schedule the surgery for thurs or fri with one of his associates because he would not be able to fit me in the following day, but if he had been able to, he would have admitted me. I called the next day, they told me I needed to go in for a consult, meaning missing more work so that they could get more money?! WHAT?! I said well, I was just supposed to schedule surgery, he already did the exam and history at the hospital, so it's just the paperwork? could you please have him call me since this is not what he told me and I had another person with me that confirmed the same story as I was saying? He called me back, was rude and condecending and told me that he was referring me to another group because I would not want a dr that is unhappy with what I was saying performing my surgery! is that a THREAT?! I was in excruiating pain and he's going to play games?! |
