Not as good as he used to be. His method of practicing medicine has changed a lot. ..., Jul 9, 2012 He's changed a lot. Sadly, he seems to always be in a hurry and never really listens anymore. I've heard the "in a hurry complaint" from other patients as well. He also has a new attitude that cannot be better summed up then by the trite phrase "my way or the highway." He even yelled at me during my appointment. Certainly, his bedside manners are now lacking. He is also lacking empathy and compassion now. He doesn’t really seem capable of putting himself in a woman’s shoes to understand what she is going through or how her health issues affect her daily life. Additionally, I wish that he would be more understanding of religious and cultural views throughout the world especially since he works as an OB/GYN physician. These are truly disturbing and disheartening changes in him. Moreover, I noticed that neither he nor his nurse asks you about what medications you take at your appointment. He prescribed me something that the pharmacy informed me interferes with another medication that I take. This could have been avoided had someone just simply asked. He used to be really good...I guess that he's too stressed or burnt out now or has a complicated personal life. Unfortunately, due to all of these problems and more I will have to try to find a new OB/GYN. Very upsetting. :(

Downhill fast since changes to office and move ..., Mar 7, 2013 Something has happened since he joined NYU. No one answers the phones, have to call for weeks just to get a response, long wait with doc spending no time with you. This is not the level of care or service people expect from a doctor. |

Waste of my time, poor attitude, service from staff..., Feb 22, 2013 I had to make at least 12 calls before I was able to reach the office and schedule an appointment. At times the line was not working. Other times the person left me on hold so long I had to hang up. Finally, I spoke with someone able to answer some basic questions and I accepted the first appointment available 2.5 months later. Before agreeing to request her services I requested to meet the doctor and pay for her time. Her staff person said she didn't know what the cost was that the price was up to the doctor. The morning of my appointment the office seemed geared for high volume and low personal attention. I found staff behavior poor. When answering the phone no one identified who they were. None of the 3 women I met after I arrived introduced herself. I saw no name tags. The reception desk person scanned my license without explaining or asking permission. With all the ID theft taking place nationwide that made me uncomfortable. The young woman who escorted us from the reception to the exam room addressed a lady that was there at the same time and I as "dear" and "girls." After I waited in the exam room an unhappy looking woman introduced herself as the office manager and closed the door. She said she was sorry (she didn't appear sorry but rather in a hurry for me to leave). She went on to say that the doctor and her colleagues in the practice never meet people before they become patients, implying I should leave. She waited to make sure I left the exam room. |

would not recommend this doctor was horrible disatisfied with staff and the 2 minutes spend with the..., Feb 19, 2013 would not recomend the waiting time is ridiculous i was an hour early for my appt at 2:30 did not get seen until 3:50 by 3:52 i was out of the office was not able to ask any questions on my daughters ruptured eardrum i dont think my daughter should get water in it but i guess i have to wait till i find another dr to be able to ask any questions. i would definitely not recomend this dr nor his facility the staff is horrible made me feel like it was my fault the front clerk forgot to sign me in an hour ago save your time and money i went to his south alamo location on barlite very disapointed in all services with them. |

Best doc ever! Would recommend him without hesitation!..., Feb 13, 2013 I'm not a fan of doctor’s offices, but I'd go back to Dr. Lazar without hesitation. Dr. Lazar is very straightforward, knowledgeable and professional. He gave me a flawless assessment of my situation, listened to my concerns and answered my questions with clear, well-informed answers. If you have ear/nose issues, go see Dr. Lazar!! I can't recommend him enough. |
