  Gerard Shepherd and Duke Urgent Care get thumbs up for thorough yet gentle exam..., Mar 15, 2010

I visited Duke Urgent Care in Durham, NC the morning after being in a serious car wreck. I was extremely bruised and battered and feared I had fractured ribs. Dr. SHepherd was gentle but thorough in examining me. He could have hurt me by being too rough, but he was not rough. He ordered appropriate tests (x-rays, urine to look for blood in case I had injured my kidneys, etc.)and explained what he was foing and why. He made an otherwise unpleasant experience bearable. The entire staff was calm and soothing. The facilities were top notch. I would recommend Gerard Shepherd and DUke Urgent Care to a friend or family member.

Dealing with this practice is only about making money. Everything is oriented around getting you to come in frequently and doing tests. The staff is rude and I will not use nor recommend this practice.

I am over 60 years old and this Doctor has to the most ignorant person I have ever come in contact with. I had a procedure done by him and when I went for follow-up tests he claimed I still had a condition. I sought a 2nd and 3rd opinion and I was told the tests showed my condition no longer existed, so it is clear Dr. Fallick wanted to put me through additional pain just so he could bill me and my insurance company for extra money for a procedure that was not required, DOCTOR FALLICK that is FRAUD. BEWARE of this money hungry IGNORANT Doctor who in my opinion is a disgrace to the MEDICAL profession.

Wants to prescribe the meds immediately. Doesn't listen and comes off like an ass. I would not recommend him to anyone. This guy is such an arrogant asshole. Saw him only once and knew this wasn't going to work. Waste of time and money.

Very disrespectful staff, they act as though you are nothing but a waste of time. Very rude over the phone. One employee in particular (I will not post name) needs lessons on how to treat others. Just down right RUDE!!!! Should not be in buisness!

Dr. Shah and his staff have a 6 yr realtionship with me. I ws not his most strat forward case to say the least. But when no one else would treat me there he was. With his warm smile and friendly bedside manner, telling me I was going to be ok. I went to Dr. not because I was in an accident, but because one morning I woke up and could not open my mouth, and I was in such pain that at that point giving birth to a baby elephant would have been easier, and less painful. By the time I seen Dr. I had lost over 80lbs because I was unalbe to open my mouth nothing was getting in and even water was hard to swallow. I had been in and out of the hospital several times and at one point doctors told me I would need a feeding tube. But then came Dr Shah, something in his eyes told me I was going to be saved, and here it is 6yrs later. I am 3months out of a complete replacement of the RT. Jaw and I feel FANTASTIC! I cried yesterday not in pain, but in joy. I eat my first apple in 6yrs! Dr Shah gave that to me. What a gift! I owe him and his wonderful staff so very much. There are no words but I will try. You gave me back my joy, sanity, smile and my life. I promise not to waste it. Many THANKS from the bottom of my heart Dr. Shah.
