terrible experience with Dr. Aukerman in Columbus, OH..., Dec 23, 2011 I had a terrible experience with Dr. Aukerman. My regular MD was not available so I was placed with him. When he entered I explained I slipped on my stairs at home and injured my back. I saw a body worker Wed who massaged and realigned me but suggested I see an MD as well. He asked what my body worker said I should have, all while being very dismissive. He never examined me, never directly faced me, and kept saying he would do this or that because my body worker wanted it, which I found demeaning. He refused to give me pain meds because he said there was no record of me getting them in their system, despite the fact that I've gone to that practice for over 10 years and have gotten pain meds there before. He was brusque, dismissive, and indifferent, and I will never see him again. I refused to pay for the visit even. He actually made me cry he was so harsh, which was offensive considering the pain I am in.

Run, dont walk as fast as you can from this quack!..., Jun 12, 2013 I was sent to this doctor for Pain Management. He DID NOT relieve any pain what so ever, only caused more pain! The staff screwed up appointments...always called to ask if I could come in earlier! Office is like walking into 1970, very outdated! There are much more qualified Pain doctors around! |

Mislead about insurance co-pay and had to pay $350..., Apr 5, 2013 Went in for a mole consultation and got what I thought was included in my $40 co-pay (3 mole tests). 4 of their staff (including Dr. Fichtel) told me that the mole tests were "covered by insurance". Ended up getting a $350 bill for the testing. The situation went downhill from there... |

Beware of this office. They will start treatment then dismiss you under FALSE ACCUSATIONS ..., Feb 24, 2013 You WILL NOT get the medication you need for you hypertension. Janette, the office manager will dismiss you and tell lies to the insurance company after the doctor has been paid for the month with your medicare hmo plan to take care of you. Once you are seen 1 time with any HMO plan the insurance cannot retract the money they gave the doctor to provide care for the ENTIRE month. She will demand you leave and refuse to let you finish your appointment with the doctor WHILE YOU ARE IN AN EXAM ROOM. They send you to doctors for things you never were in there for and NOT treat you for the reason you came in. They order lab work and then refuse to give you the results. Being diabetic with hypertension, it is important for my medical well being to get such results to make sure the medication is either working or overworking. The doctor has had probation with disciplinary action which you can request information on. I hope this will help future patients in making a better informed decision about the doctor they see. |

thumbs up for park avenue lasek, dr. chynn and his entire team..., Dec 27, 2012 About two years ago I considered laser eye correction but wasn’t able to get it done back then. Through my research I kept coming back to Dr. Chynn’s Park Avenue LASEK. So although I wasn’t able to get it then I stored it in my bookmarks. Naturally, when I started thinking about laser vision correction I eagerly went and looked up Dr. Chynn again. The site made it clear that the caliber of care would and attention to detail was in every aspect of the staff. I called and made my FREE consultation and was not disappointed. In fact I was never more excited at this cutting edge technique of NO CUT, NO FLAP making it SAFER than the older technique that is still widely used elsewhere.
