Excellent cosmetic surgeon who is very comforting and has the eye of an artist...., Feb 28, 2012 I was nervous about my visit. However, Dr. Steinsapir has a very impressive website and the information seems very in depth. He is a board certified ophthalmologist and is on staff at UCLA. He fellowship trained in both cosmetic surgery and oculofacial surgery. I got a goofy under eye Restylane treatment at another office with lumps under my eyes that have never been right. I was told by my original surgeon who is a very famous Beverly Hills surgeon that there was nothing wrong and the material disappears anyway. That was a year ago. Well within 15 seconds of being injected by Dr. Steinsapir with an enzyme these ugly bumps were gone. Since then I have had his microdroplet BOTOX, a patented method that is amazing and also under eye Restylane. Literally I look 15 years younger. I highly recommend this doctor! |

Dr. Aldea Bamboozled Me, Don't Go to his practice!..., Jan 28, 2012 DO THESE THINGS BEFORE YOU COMMIT TO SURGERY WITH DR. ALDEA: 1) Ask for the refund policy before you pay ANYTHING. You might not be provided the refund policy after you've paid the deposit. There are many outs for him not to return money if the surgery doesn't happen. 2) Don't be fooled by the good reviews out there. Some sites allow surgeons to only display the good reviews and not the negative ones. 3) Research to see if there are any lawsuits filed against him first. My experience with Dr. Aldea was NOT pleasant. He showed up 1 hr late for my surgery. Many of the nursing staff at St. Francis commented that he's frequently late and his surgeries always run over (which means you'll pay much more in the end!) On the OR table we both learned I had an irregular heartbeat. Dr. Aldea canceled the surgery but agreed to do it later if cardiac clearance was obtained. I got clearance which said that my condition was benign and to proceed with surgery as planned, but he never was satisfied, he found every excuse in the book not to do it. He dodged my calls for months! I wanted to get specifics from him on what he needed from the cardiologist. He kept having his patient coordinators say the same vague thing, "Dr. Aldea needs to know the surgery is safe for you." No cardiologist in their right mind will write "safe" in a letter. They will only say low-high risk. BTW 2 cardiologists wrote that I was low risk for the surgery and at no higher risk than a person who didn't have an irregular heartbeat. After many unreturned calls from Dr. Aldea, I got upset and asked for the truth and a refund if he didn't want to operate. He responded and said that I was ungrateful and here's your refund minus $750 deposit and he said that I didn't want the surgery. I responded that I did want the surgery but was tired of the run around and asked that he personally return a call so that we could clear up misunderstandings. Knows a lot about lasers - very nice surgeon who will spend a lot of time with you..., Jan 26, 2012 I went to Dr. John Burns for a Fraxel laser treatment and my skin looks amazing. I look much younger, and my skin looks so much better. I have a lot fewer spots and my skintone looks much more even. He is a very nice doctor too, and knows a lot about laser treatments. He spent a lot of time with me. I highly recommend him! |

poor service, inaccurate information, disregard for patient values or input..., Dec 18, 2011 Dr. McLemore treated me for anal condyloma. I believe she recklessly destroyed a lot of healthy tissue. She cut me up and burned me really bad and she became irritated when I complained about my pain and (temporary) disfigurement. McLemore took a large biopsy from an area I believe was healthy before the operation. It took me 2 months to recover from the biopsy and for my anus to start to regain a non-disfigured appearance. The biopsy also caused me uncontrollable pain. The biopsy turned out to have no clinical value; the biopsy result was not relevant to future treatment decisions. I was left with a small, visible scar on my anal margin from the biopsy. Dr. McLemore gave me unrealistic expectation for recovery time and pain levels. I beleive McLemore behaved with negligence and I have asked for a review of my case. McLemore seemed cold an uncaring toward me most times I saw her. McLemore insisted on not giving me any say in how the procedure was done in my case, but she refused to apologize or admit wrongdoing when her preferred method went wrong. I believe that if you have a negative outcome, McLemore will be cold and uncaring toward you. I believe she will blame you and say it was your fault for signing all the paperwork. And there is more paperwork than you will believe. Most of the paperwork I signed was immediately before the operation and this also makes me suspicious. Obviously, I don't recommend this doctor. |

misdiagnosis and cavalier attitude cost his patients in a couple of different ways..., Dec 13, 2011 doctor misdiagnosed my illness causing an extra year of pain and suffering.he is also condescending and distant,making me feel alone and insignificant . the doctor cost me 2 weeks of pay from my work because his office refused to complete paperwork within the proper time. |
