Short doctors office visit went really well, all things considered. :)..., Mar 28, 2013
This was my first time seeing Dr. Lazar. I had to take my kids with me because of spring break. The east Memphis office has a great kids room that is plainly visible in the waiting room. That was a great way to keep them occupied during the wait. Once I saw Dr. Lazar, things went really well. He listened to what I had to say and asked probing questions. After a short examination, I was on my way. As far as these things go, it was a pleasing experience.
Great doctor. he knows his stuff......................., Mar 18, 2013
After reading some of the reviews on other sites about Dr. Lazar, I wasn’t sure that I wanted to see him, but a friend of mine kept saying that he is a graet doc. After seeing him a few times now, I can see where he might come off as gruff. Not everyone can be a teddy bear. Dr. Lazar knows his stuff and has a no-nonsense approach. That doesn’t mean that he doesn’t care tho. Seems to me he’s a good guy.
Go to weight watchers instead don't waste your money here..., Mar 2, 2013
Waited over 45 minutes and only saw the Dr. for 3 minutes. He advised me to try using meal replacement shakes. I could have gotten the same advice from a weight watchers commercial and it wouldn't have cost me $300. I complained to Fairview and a nurse called me, she was very nice, but apparently Dr. Billington was too busy to help me. A month later I got a bill for $300 (this is after my insurance payment). Apparently Dr. Billington lives up to his name, I hope he enjoys his yacht while I lose my house.
Verbally abusive, egotistical monster with long history of drug addiction..., Feb 22, 2013
This so-called doctor runs a shoddy "treatment" center where professionals are essentially extorted for money. For $10,000 a month, for a mimimum of three months, clients enjoy daily humiliation at the hands of underqualified, detached counselors. It's like a prison, where snitching on your peers for minor infractions is encouraged and results in punishment, usually physical labor and loss of contact with your family. It creates an atmisphere that breeds paranoia and hostility, like an episode of Survivor gone horribly awry.
Dr Teitelbaum is the director/warden of this expensive little internment camp. He is incredibly arrogant, rude, and sensitive only to his own ego. Possibly the only man ever diagnosed with penis envy, he is derisive and insulting to his patients. It is an incredible abuse of power, and he is as sadistic as he is incompetent. He frequently confuses patients and their histories, and his reports read like works of fiction. I could never have imagined such an emotionally and psycholoogcally damaging environment in the name of "therapy."
Shame on Shands Hospital for allowing this to continue. Do whatever you can to avoid this physician and his treatment center. Go out of state if you have to. Avoid him and Florida Recovery Center at all cost. I sure wish I had.
Peddles quack medicine and couldn't care less about a patient's time (part 2)..., Jan 29, 2013
will charge you like a wounded bull for their own precious time? Arrogance? Disdain? The kind of greed that pushes them to cram their appointment schedule with as many patients as possible per day? And would it kill their staff to at least offer up some kind of token apology or explanation when keeping you waiting interminably? Whatever, I got up and left in disgust.
Having done my homework via the internet on the allergy test Dr. Masri peddles so stridently, and added to the manner with which he so casually played with my own health via the dismissive attitude he took to the views of gastroenterology specialists I’ve seen through the years, I’d already decided that he was certainly not the kind of medical practitioner I wanted to entrust my health to, or that of my family, on a long term basis. After the fiasco of waiting to see him so long, my view was doubly confirmed.
