An Evaluation of Dr. Ivy Yu, OB/GYN with Kaiser Permanente...., May 30, 2010 After one appointment with my original OB/GYN with Kaiser Permanente, I was re-assigned to Dr. Ivy Yu. I had seen two previous OB/GYN's about my uterine fibroids and found no relief. Due to my youth I got the impression they felt I could tough out. After my first appointment with Dr. Yu she discussed all of my options in specific detail and answered my questions in terminology I understood. She was very kind and understanding. I eventually elected to have my uterine fibroids removed. Dr. Yu performed the procedure herself. The surgery went very well. I feel so much relief. I believe if it had not been for Ivy Yu's attentiveness, I would still be suffering from uterine fibroids.

This Doctor is recommending Guardasil for Boys knowing it is not covered by most insurance..., Dec 30, 2011 We feel this Doctor's office breached trust with us by recommending a Guardasil shot for our son during a routine physical and not disclosing the full cost of the vaccine which is around $1000 and also not disclosing that it probably would not be covered by our insurance company. We have repeatedly tried to contact his billing department and they do not answer their phone and do not return phone calls. We finally were able to speak to his front office supervisor and she was completely unwilling to compromise or help in any way. |

misdiagnosis and cavalier attitude cost his patients in a couple of different ways..., Dec 13, 2011 doctor misdiagnosed my illness causing an extra year of pain and suffering.he is also condescending and distant,making me feel alone and insignificant . the doctor cost me 2 weeks of pay from my work because his office refused to complete paperwork within the proper time. |

This doctor's ratings on vitals and healthgrades must have been entered by his friends!..., Oct 18, 2011 This doctor has an ego as big as the city of Boston and is impatient and uncaring. I was so disappointed. He rushed me through my questions and even ridiculed some of them. He mumbled sarcastically under his breath and in general I left there feeling so awful. He has such good ratings on Vitals and Healthgrades that I can't help but think his friends did them. It doesn't matter how good a doctor he is, his personality was intolerable. |
