My family has been going to Claysville Family Practice for eleven years now. I am very happy with th..., Apr 27, 2010

I have five children. When my second child was born, we moved to a neighboring city. I was unhappy with the pediatrician we had been using, so I switched the children to the family practice office that was in the new town. That was eleven years ago. We have since moved about forty minutes away from this office, but I like the doctors, the staff and the same day scheduling practice that they implement. So, myself, my husband and our three children are still their patients. Their office is a minute from the highway so it is accessible. Their parking lot is easy to maneuver in. They have toys in their waiting room. The only complaint I have would be that they are not cleaned regularly and I don't let my children play with them. They do , if you give them your drivers license, have gameboys for children to play with in the office.Thay have a large screen television in the office with medical information on it., Just yesterday we were there as my daughter who is nine had suspected strep throat. It was confirmed during this visit. They are starting a new computer system and are updating everyone's information. The wait in the office yesterday was surprisingly short. They used a rapid strep test to first check for strep. It was confirmed in a matter of five minutes. All of the nurses and doctors are very professional and nice. Also I have a three year old daughter who has a red mark on her nose that I was suspicious of. Although this appointment wasn't for her, the doctor did not have a problem with checking her too. She refilled a prescription for my son who has been taking a certain medicine for about three years now. I would not only recommend this office to people, I have recommended them. My sister is their patient now, too.

Hour and a half wait, 90 seconds of diagnosis and misery....., Feb 9, 2012

I blame myself for going to this Dr. a second time. He is very rude and has you waiting in an exam room for nearly as long as in the waiting room. The man is obnoxious and presumes to diagnose your syptoms with 2 or 3 questions and without a thorough exam. His staff is unhelpful and appear to fear the Dr. No bedside manner whatsoever. There is more warmth from an emergency room than in this office. Stay away !

Today 1/17/12 was my first appt with this office and I must say my last! Every patient looked like they were there only for drugs and honestly looked like they were major meth heads! my appt was at 930 and aftrt sitting in the exam room until 1215 with no Dr in sight I left! I wouldn't recommend this Dr or the office to anyone unless your a dope head that needs a fix! awful experience!

Scott Yegel had a wait time of 50 minutes Unacceptable!..., Oct 17, 2011

. I am most disappointed in the wait time. I waited over 50 minutes to be seen by the doctor. 50 minutes just to have him walk into my room!! I never received any feedback as to the wait and when I addressed the issue to the doctor he merely stated I'm sorry. If the wait time was going to be long, I would appreciate if the doctor/ receptionist asked me if I cared to reschedule, who said I didn't have something else to do? My time is just as valuable as any person, so when I schedule an appointment I expect to be seen at least within 15 minutes. After all, the receptionist is the one looking at the calendar to ensure I am placed in to a time that is compatible with the doctor's schedule. If I arrive late or do not call, I am billed anywhere from $50.00 to $200.00 depending on the incident. If the doctor arrives late, I get nothing except sorry and all my other appointments being thrown off at that time. Why is it OK for the doctor to be late but not the patient? If you have too many people scheduled or you can't wrap up an appointment in a timely manner, maybe you should try placing greater distance between the next patient, to allot for the overtime (which by the way I'm not getting paid for) in which the patient will be occurring. So many times people say this is the norm, this is not acceptable! If you arrive late at the doctor's office you are billed or asked to rescheduled, if you arrive late for an interview you will not get the job, if you arrive late at your job you will be fired. Why is it OK for a doctor in a doctor's office to be late for his/her patients? I had an appointment; I even brought in my paperwork already filled out. I didn't just walk in. I rescheduled an appointment for another doctor while waiting for the doctor to come in, upon him coming In, I left. He or she will no longer be privy to my money when I have to wait excessively.

I visit the Dr. once or twice a year and on more than one occasion, Dr. Taylor was rude, dismissive and uncaring toward me. I over looked her rudeness the first time, because everybody has bad days. But after the second time, I have decided to look for another Dr.
