Doctor's office don't know how to submit insurance claims right..., Apr 25, 2010 Okay so, I went to this doctors office, the doctor was really nice and everything to me. She didn't really talk to me about anything, and then I went back a month later she didn't tell me the results of my test I had to ask her and she said everything was okay but, what if it wasn't I would have had to wait that long to find out. On top of that before you leave you visit this nurse window so, you can get your prescription and pay your co-payment(if you have insurance), which I do and I payed my $15 co-payment and the nurse tells me I owe $150 and if I don't pay it they are going to take "legal action". I was furious, I went home and called my insurance company and they said that the office had entered in the wrong code that they were trying to claim, so, I got that all figured out and they told me to call and tell the nurses to re-submit the bill. I called there they were very rude told me that they couldn't resubmit the bill and now I have creditors after me because, they won't re-submit the bill and I'm not paying it because my insurance company says that they cover it.

This Doctor is recommending Guardasil for Boys knowing it is not covered by most insurance..., Dec 30, 2011 We feel this Doctor's office breached trust with us by recommending a Guardasil shot for our son during a routine physical and not disclosing the full cost of the vaccine which is around $1000 and also not disclosing that it probably would not be covered by our insurance company. We have repeatedly tried to contact his billing department and they do not answer their phone and do not return phone calls. We finally were able to speak to his front office supervisor and she was completely unwilling to compromise or help in any way. |

Awful Dr, No Bedside Manner, no compassion, RUDE!!!..., Nov 15, 2011 Ive been Diabetic for 25yrs.I got ketones w/a reading of 849.Tried to get an emergency appt.He couldnt see me for 2wks!I ended up in a hosp. When he came to see me he treated me like a kid, didnt listen to me or my ?s.I thought it was insulin resistance W/o checking my meds or pump he said NO.I asked if it was allergies like a fever/cold causing insulin to not work properly, he said hed NEVER heard of that & told me to stop trying to come up w/ excuses. He asked why I hadnt come back to him sooner & it was b/c HE wanted me to go to other Drs before returning & it took time to do so.He asked how I had tried to get the B.S down & told me that once the B.S got 400+ that I shouldve taken a syringe, pulled up EXTRA insulin & injected it.I said a past Dr told me to do that but only w/a sliding scale & w/ Regular insulin not Novolog, that Id overdose. He showed NO BEDSIDE MANNER.I was in TEARS.THEN he sent a certified letter 2 days later dismissing me from his care w/o a reason!DO NOT GO TO HIM! |

Dr. Brian J. Mignola, MD, is an outstanding doctor!..., Aug 22, 2011 OUTSTANDING DOCTOR! Dr. Brian J. Mignola, MD, is a really great family doctor. He has been taking care of the medical needs of myself and my parents for several years. He always has been very attentive to all of us. Dr. Mignola is very intelligent as well as very professional. He knows medical issues extremely well and is able to help his patients effectively. In addition, he is very pleasant and down to earth. He treats everyone with respect and takes the time to listen to what his patients have to say and how they feel. He is a very decent and good hearted human being. He cares. In a day and age where it is so hard to find a reliable, thorough, knowledgeable, competent, and trustworthy professional of any kind (medical, financial, legal, etc.), Dr. Mignola is such a person and possesses all of these characteristics. That is, he is reliable, thorough, knowledgeable, competent, and trustworthy. I trust Dr. Mignola. He is the best family physician in Staten Island and NYC. |

Just wants to get in and out of the room without listening..., Aug 19, 2011 I would not recommend Dr. Woods if you are having any type of issue at all. He just wants to get in the room, do a quick pap smear and exam, and get out of the room as quickly as possible. He does not take the time to listen to issues, and just brushes you aside. |
