Pill Mill - He almost killed my friend and he doesn..., Feb 6, 2012

He almost killed my friend and he doesn't have the courtesy to return my calls! My good friend Dave is hooked on pills and this guy just keeps dishing them out. He prescribed 120 Xanax plus 2 refills knowing Dave is addicted! Yesterday the paramedics took Dave to the hospital for an overdose. The only person in the office I've been allowed to speak to is Maggie. She was rude and had no concern with stopping the pills or finding a solution, just concerned with trying to cover their butt with double talk.
Provided extremely poor treatment for my father's cancer..., Jan 25, 2012

Dr. D. treated my dad's throat cancer (a term he never used with any of us). Dad responded very well to chemo and would have to remain on chemo the rest of his life. (His tumor in his neck had burst and he had a nasty wound that he had to deal with, but even it was doing well as he was switched to a milder chemo routine to keep the cancer from growing. And he was doing really well with that treatment.) Dad developed a knee infection and Dr. D stopped all treatment until knee doc released him. Dr. D continued to ignore my phone calls that dad's neck wound was really looking bad, saying he could do nothing for him at this time. Finally, knee doc suggested knee treatment be put on hold so cancer could be treated. So Dad went to see Dr. D and he still said there wasn't anything he could do right now, and he refused to look at his neck when asked to (of course, dad kept it bandaged). We brought dad to Louisville for treatment, but it was too late by then. The oncology doctors in Louisville were just mortified at his neck and the treatment he had received. They found it unimaginable that Dr. D. never looked at his neck (the actual cancer) and ignored his cancer treatment during the course of treatment of the knee infection (9 weeks approximately). Of course, we are heartbroken. I only tell my story in the hopes of helping someone else. In the end, dad regretted mine and my sister's pleas to get a second opinion in Louisville from the beginning. That one step could have changed everything. I hope this review helps someone make a better choice in choosing their oncologist.
Outstanding doctor who still cares; knowledgeable and upbeat..., Sep 28, 2011

Very impressed by the quality of care she provides. We have seen this physician as a family. She is a good mixture of knowledge, compassion, and sincere caring. I hope there are more doctors like her!
Diagnosed my child when no one else could! Great pediatrician! ..., Sep 26, 2011

This Pediatrician knows her stuff! She sits down and listens to your thoughts and concerns and really puts the time to care for your child, which is more than any other pediatrician I have been to. A friend told me about this doctor, and thank God I have listened because finally my child is doing better.
Mohs Micrographic Technique doesn't equal Cosmetic Plastic Surgeon..., Aug 22, 2011

Dr. Mark L. Welch is just a dermatologist that has been trained in Mohs Micrographic technique. He is NOT a cosmetic plastic surgeon. If you want to improve your chances of a good cosmetic outcome, go to a real plastic surgeon to close the wound AFTER Mohs surgery, especially if the skin cancer is on your face. Do your research, don't rush. Dr. Welch never suggested a dual doctor approach (Mohs surgeon + plastic surgeon) during my pre-surgery consultation. I'm now searching for a plastic surgeon to perform a scar revision on my face. Dr. Welch did not appear concerned with my poor outcome. He needed to turn to a physicians directory to recommend a plastic surgeon (I would expect him to have the name of the plastic surgeon off the top of his head). Dr Welch never personally followed up to see how I was doing or even if I had the scar revision surgery. Also, his male assistant should learn to never tell a patient he will probably have cancer again. I DO NOT recommend Dr. Mark L. Welch.
