Surprisingly good service and diagnosis at an Emergency Clinic..., Mar 6, 2010

I have had chronic asthma for ten years but have never had an effective treatment plan. I recently visited Texas Med Clinic on Eisenhower because I was feeling extremely wheezy on New Year's Day and nobody else was open. Instead of just giving me the standard nebulizer treatment and sending me on my way, Dr. Meyer took the time to explain how to use a peak flow meter (which no doctor had ever done for me) and prescribed Advair. I have not had a severe recurrence of my asthma now for three months, even though we are in the height of allergy season in San Antonio. I was impressed with the service I received on a holiday at an emergency clinic.

This is not a Doctor, this is an addict who should not be practicing..., Jun 20, 2010

I was told Dr. Tupa was misunderstood and had a bad reputation, but was really a fine Pediatrician. Why oh why did I not listen to what everyone was telling me. Only use this doctor if you have 6 hours to wait in her waiting room because she won't get out of bed until 3 in the afternoon. She only knows how to prescribe the same medications that will not help your child, and finally the last time my child was admitted into the hospital Dr. Tupa was incoherent, her speech was slurred, and I refused to let her anywhere near my child. Beware of this Doctor, she is going to harm a child if she continues to be allowed to practice medicine.
Dr. John McArthy was kind, empathetic and very knowledgeable. ..., May 1, 2010

I went to Dr. John McCarthy for a sinus infection. When I arrived, his staff at the front desk were very kind and helpful. And they had welcoming smiles on their faces. The nurse who saw me before the doctor had the same demeanor as the ladies at the front desk. She was friendly and funny too! Then when Dr. McCarthy came in, he was very conversational, examined me thoroughly, and answered all of my questions. It was an all around good experience.
Extremely poor choice..., Mar 12, 2010

This guy does wrong procedures & refuses to accept responsibility; does procedures that leave patient in much worse condition; refuses to hear that he did anything wrong - very arrogant; denies after-care; when patient quietly attempts to discuss wrong procedures & gives him a 3rd chance to make things right, he throws a hissy fit, screams, uses threatening gestures toward patient, then throws patient out, without necessary after-care.
Not only is my doctor very knowledgeable, but she always remembers my name and remembers our small t..., Mar 10, 2010

I would highly recommend my doctor. No matter how nervous I am when it comes to my visit, she always has a way of bringing reality into back into the picture and indirectly calming an anxious patient like me down. Whether she is joking about recent pop media or joining in with laughing with me at how silly I am for being so nervous, she always has a way of making my doctor visit almost enjoyable. She has an easy, casual way about her demeanor and it is very disarming for people that may be skeptical of the medical industry. She is a real person with a real sense of humor and an acute awareness of the various emotions different patients may have. Although she works out of a tiny office that is usually pretty booked and busy, she thinks and therefore speaks fast and can answer your questions thoroghly in the 20 minute alotted time frame that my kind of paranoid visits are usually booked for. The office she works at is open Monday through friday with new Urgent Care hours on Saturday however I do not know if she is one of the doctors that are available for urgent care. I also know that she does work at a different facility at least one or two days out of the week so sometimes it is hard to get her for an appointment and not her fill-in. However even when I get a different doctor at this location, I still have no complaints. Even the nurses who call you in are funny and pleasant. The wait time can sometimes be up to a half an hour once you are in your little room, but relatively quick once you check in. Either way, wait or not, Dr. Ghormely is worth the wait and the visit if just to feel like you are acknowledged and considered as a real human being yourself.
A Visit With Dr. Pam Richard at Oschner Pediatric Clinic..., Mar 1, 2010

My son was recently seen by Dr. Richard. He had been experiencing a low-grade fever and a persistant cough for more than 4 days. Her office is very neat and clean. We only waited 15 minutes before being seen. Once in the examing room, we again had a very short wait. Dr. Richard was very thorough with her exam. She was able to electronically send our presciption to the pharmacy. I would highly recommend Dr. Richard.
