DO THESE THINGS BEFORE YOU COMMIT TO SURGERY WITH DR. ALDEA: 1) Ask for the refund policy before you pay ANYTHING. You might not be provided the refund policy after you've paid the deposit. There are many outs for him not to return money if the surgery doesn't happen. 2) Don't be fooled by the good reviews out there. Some sites allow surgeons to only display the good reviews and not the negative ones. 3) Research to see if there are any lawsuits filed against him first. My experience with Dr. Aldea was NOT pleasant. He showed up 1 hr late for my surgery. Many of the nursing staff at St. Francis commented that he's frequently late and his surgeries always run over (which means you'll pay much more in the end!) On the OR table we both learned I had an irregular heartbeat. Dr. Aldea canceled the surgery but agreed to do it later if cardiac clearance was obtained. I got clearance which said that my condition was benign and to proceed with surgery as planned, but he never was satisfied, he found every excuse in the book not to do it. He dodged my calls for months! I wanted to get specifics from him on what he needed from the cardiologist. He kept having his patient coordinators say the same vague thing, "Dr. Aldea needs to know the surgery is safe for you." No cardiologist in their right mind will write "safe" in a letter. They will only say low-high risk. BTW 2 cardiologists wrote that I was low risk for the surgery and at no higher risk than a person who didn't have an irregular heartbeat. After many unreturned calls from Dr. Aldea, I got upset and asked for the truth and a refund if he didn't want to operate. He responded and said that I was ungrateful and here's your refund minus $750 deposit and he said that I didn't want the surgery. I responded that I did want the surgery but was tired of the run around and asked that he personally return a call so that we could clear up misunderstandings. Dr. McLemore treated me for anal condyloma. I believe she recklessly destroyed a lot of healthy tissue. She cut me up and burned me really bad and she became irritated when I complained about my pain and (temporary) disfigurement. McLemore took a large biopsy from an area I believe was healthy before the operation. It took me 2 months to recover from the biopsy and for my anus to start to regain a non-disfigured appearance. The biopsy also caused me uncontrollable pain. The biopsy turned out to have no clinical value; the biopsy result was not relevant to future treatment decisions. I was left with a small, visible scar on my anal margin from the biopsy. Dr. McLemore gave me unrealistic expectation for recovery time and pain levels. I beleive McLemore behaved with negligence and I have asked for a review of my case. McLemore seemed cold an uncaring toward me most times I saw her. McLemore insisted on not giving me any say in how the procedure was done in my case, but she refused to apologize or admit wrongdoing when her preferred method went wrong. I believe that if you have a negative outcome, McLemore will be cold and uncaring toward you. I believe she will blame you and say it was your fault for signing all the paperwork. And there is more paperwork than you will believe. Most of the paperwork I signed was immediately before the operation and this also makes me suspicious. Obviously, I don't recommend this doctor.

These comments are in no way, shape, or form meant as a bashing. This is only meant to communicate my experience with Dr. Ronald Leo over the last several years.It is my opinion that Dr Leo has very poor communication skills and is almost rude when asked for specific details regarding ill side effects and adverse reactions for treatments or medications he has presrcibed to me. On one occassion, he prescribed medication to me that I suffered moderate to severe side effects and when told about it he basically told me that it was all in my head. It seems everytime I have an appointment I spend most of it trying to prove that I am sick. When calling on the phone, I have always had to leave a message which is acceptable if you get a returned call in a timely manner which was very rare. I am disatisfied with the manner in which my health condition has been handled as well as the service he provides. I have requested to see another Dr in the same clinic which requires his consent but he would not give consent. There are 14 other Drs in this clinic that I am not able to use due to this and I now have to seek treatment elsewhere.

This Pediatrician knows her stuff! She sits down and listens to your thoughts and concerns and really puts the time to care for your child, which is more than any other pediatrician I have been to. A friend told me about this doctor, and thank God I have listened because finally my child is doing better.

I've been waiting 6 years to have my pre-baby body back and Dr. Sullivan helped me get there! She was so patient with me, especially when I came back to see her two times before making my finally decison. Thanks Ladies for making me feel like ME again! I have never been so happy!
