Sorry to Leave them and Castro Valley. They ran a very nice practice...., Jan 18, 2011

I recently moved out of Castro Valley, and was sorry to leave Dr Rothman and Hee. Patti Hee was very thorough and did a great job keeping my goals in mind. Very courteous, knowledgable, and would have no trouble referring me to specialists when necessary. Sorry to have to find another practice in my new location, but would recommend them highly.

Helpful and interested inmy overall well being. I enjoy visiting with my doctor as they always treat..., Apr 9, 2010

I came in for a physical examination with my nurse practitioner Patti Hee. She is always so courteous and thorough. She went over my previous labs and then encouraged me to begin checking my blood sugar. She recommended that I visit a nutritionist and begin to assess my long term goals. Her caring and empathetic attitude allows me to feel free to be honest and forthcoming with all my problems and needs. Overall, my experience was great even though I have some medical issues that I am dealing with her helpful and encouraging attitude makes it much easier. I would definitely recommend this office to friends and have in the past.

Money More Important Than Patient Care To Dr Chadha..., Jan 10, 2012

When I went to make an appointment, I was told that I was expected to pay between $200-$300 UP FRONT to see him because I do not have health insurance. When I explained that the number was completely asinine and I could not afford to pay that amount, the receptionist spoke down to me explaining that he "is a specialist and there are set value amounts for these things" that it "has to do with codes and other confusing things" that I just "didn't understand." This angered me, as I am currently waiting to sit for my RHIT accreditation through AHIMA, meaning that I DO understand and know how to code and bill for doctor's offices. Once I explained to her that I had never coded a chart for an office visit where a patient was required to pay $200 up front due to lack of insurance, she became annoyed and suggested I go elsewhere. I would NOT suggest Dr. Chadha or any of his associates at O'Reilly Medical Consultants because apparently money is more important to them than patient care.
Awful Dr, No Bedside Manner, no compassion, RUDE!!!..., Nov 15, 2011

Ive been Diabetic for 25yrs.I got ketones w/a reading of 849.Tried to get an emergency appt.He couldnt see me for 2wks!I ended up in a hosp. When he came to see me he treated me like a kid, didnt listen to me or my ?s.I thought it was insulin resistance W/o checking my meds or pump he said NO.I asked if it was allergies like a fever/cold causing insulin to not work properly, he said hed NEVER heard of that & told me to stop trying to come up w/ excuses. He asked why I hadnt come back to him sooner & it was b/c HE wanted me to go to other Drs before returning & it took time to do so.He asked how I had tried to get the B.S down & told me that once the B.S got 400+ that I shouldve taken a syringe, pulled up EXTRA insulin & injected it.I said a past Dr told me to do that but only w/a sliding scale & w/ Regular insulin not Novolog, that Id overdose. He showed NO BEDSIDE MANNER.I was in TEARS.THEN he sent a certified letter 2 days later dismissing me from his care w/o a reason!DO NOT GO TO HIM!

Great heart doctor. When you consult him you feel you are talking with a friend. Highly recommended..., Sep 25, 2011

I first met Dr. Assad-Kottner in August of 2011. As soon as he entered the room I noticed something different. He was smiling, and genuinely seemed interested. He sat down, spoke with me without interrupting me like other doctors do so usually. He reviewed all of my medications and instead of adding more or increasing dosages he had a talk with me. He motivated me enough in order for me to try again what they always tell me "exercise eat healthier." So far in 2 months I have lost 6 lbs and will continue to do so. When you consult him it does not feel you are with a doctor, it feels you are speaking with a true friend which in my opinion is key.
Great pediatrician, does not talk down to adults or kids...., Aug 19, 2011

As with all things Kaiser, you need to keep trying til you find a doctor that is a good fit for your family. I liked this doctor for my daughter, and kept her til my daughter turned 18. She doesn't dumb things down, and doesn't talk down to you.
