Poor customer service. No compassion. Not helpful. Rude. No resolutions offered. ..., May 14, 2013

Regarding our appointment this morning of May 14, 2013. Upon arriving my 94 year old mother was anxious to to avail herself to the services of Dr. Kligman for chronic neck pain. I had been referred to Dr. Kligman by my personal physician. Upon presenting my mothers insurance card we were informed that it would not be excepted as Dr. Kligman was not listed as the primary care physician. I was disappointed to say the least when i was informed of this, as it was never explained to me when the appointment for a new patient was made that Dr. Kligman would have to be elected as her primary care physician in order for her insurance card to be accepted and to be seen by the Dr. I told the receptionist behind the desk that Healthnet would absolutely pay as I occasionally bring my mother to other primary care physicians that are not listed on her insurance card with out issues from the insurance company (healthnet). No avenue of resolution was offered by the receptionist, and in my opinion I was treated very rudely and was also told that my attitude was not appreciated, at which time I told her I also did not appreciate her shortness with me either, to which she exclaimed that I came into the office with that attitude, which is NOT the case. I became agitated because after waiting 4 months for this appointment I felt that it was neglgent on their part that we were never informed that in order to be seen we would need to elect Dr. Kligman as our primary care physician prior to our appointment. I believe this was an oversight in their policy and not a fault of the patient. I asked her to call the insurance company to verify that there would be no problem and was rebuffed, at which time I thought it best that I call the insurance company so their office would be assured of payment. I Would Refer Her To Anyone Who Has Severe Or Even Slight Allergies...., Apr 23, 2013

Dr. Evelyn Tolson is a wonderful doctor. I was referred to Dr. Evelyn Tolson by my good friend and I was very suspicious about taking my son to another doctor to receive another opinion. My son had a deep year round cough and he had the cough for so long I just did not know where else to visit. We found out that my son had allergic reactions to different things and commenced the allergy shots along with a combination of asthma treatment. I have seen such a change in my son that it is incredible. We are still performing allergy shots, but everything is recovering. Dr. Evelyn is the most satisfying doctor I have ever seen. I would refer her to anyone who has severe or even slight allergies.

I saw this doctor once. Her office is very small which would be fine, except while I was there in the waiting room, I could hear everything she was saying during her phone conversation with the insurance company or someone like that. This included the patient's i.d. number, medical problems, lab report results, etc. I couldn't believe it! Doesn't this violate HIPPA laws?? She was using a phone in the front reception area but could prevent this by having a phone in back part of office. Toward the end of our appt., I told her I was concerned about her making calls from phone in front, and I could hear everything she was discussing about a patient. Instead of taking responsibility for the situation, she blamed it on her office, other patients, and then me. She said that that unfortunately she has a small office; that sometimes the reception door gets left open when patients walk in; and that most patients aren't listening for something like that. LOL, ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!!! She may be a good doctor regarding a broken bones and such (I don't know), but she is clueless about protecting patient privacy! No thanks!

Went to this dr. as a new patient. If I only would've looked up his reviews first! Was told to fast the night before. My appt was for 9 the next morning. Was not seen by the doctor until 2:30 in the afternoon! Went in for a well womans exam (no complaints) did not receive a pelvic exam but was charged for one. The dr. ordered a chest x-ray, intervaginal sonogram, EKG on my heart and a mammogram. Was sent in the restroom to perform my own pap smear as the dr. said he was not comfortable doing so himself because of my history of cancer?? The bathroom was disgusting. When I complained I was given a rag and a bottle of cleaning solution to clean it myself! I am going to report him to the AMA!!!

I've been seeing Dr. West since 2000. I had to move to L.A. for two years and one of my regrets was having to give up Dr. West. As soon as I moved back to Seattle I immediately signed up to see him. I even talked my husband to see him (his PCP before that was Harborview Emergency). Dr. West spends as much time with you as is necessary. However, the thing that impressed me the most and why I have remained so loyal is that Dr. West isn't a "easy fix" kind of guy. His first instinct isn't pills but exercise, proper diet, mental health, etc. However, if medication is necessary he isn't afraid to prescribe it. The best thing I can say about him is that I've sent him several patients over the years and they all equally sing his praises. (FYI - He is now located in Edmonds at the Edmonds Family Clinic).
