Although the facility was a campus medical center, the staff was equivalent to a number one surgery ..., Feb 22, 2010 I had never heard any good reviews from our campus health center. Everyone had always said they either tell you that you have mono or you're pregnant, even if you didn’t have either of those. So when I walked in the door with a raging fever and shivers, I wasn’t expecting anything special at all. But right away, the desk receptionist took my name and walked to me the second floor and got me an appointment within minutes of my arrival. The waiting room was semi packed with sick college students but Purrell was located on ever end table and desk top, so there was a great effort being displayed to keep up healthy. Even with the waiting room being a jungle, I was called back into a room after just fifteen minutes. The room was very large but it smelled so heavily of hospital supplies, which is by no means a flaw, my stomach just could handle it, so I began to heave. The doctor, Dr. Huber, came in just as I was throwing up and immediately got me a glass of water and propped the window open for some fresh air. She didn’t probe me, do a typical mono test or even ask if I was pregnant. We calmly discussed my previous medical history, talked about my classes and what major I was considering. After establishing that friend-like relationship, she began asking symptoms, taking blood pressure, listening to my heart and taking my temperature. My main problem was my throat, so she swabbed it and did a few simple tests like the strep test. All the while the swab was being tested, she talked about my swollen neck glands and the roughness of my throat. It was as if she really wanted me to understand what was going on and that it wasn’t a huge problem. When the test was complete, she let me know that I was positive for strep throat and wrote me a prescription and walked be back out to the lobby, as the hallways had been a little confusing. She told me I could pick my prescription up right down on the first floor and sent me on my way with a friendly smile. And the

Dr. V Has Really Helped Me With My Back Pain In Just Two Months..., Nov 30, 2011 I have been coming to Dr. V for about two months now and I cannot express how happy I am to have made this decision! I came in, skeptical, after having thrown out my back. I could not walk, sit, stand, or take care of my newborn son without experiencing extreme pain, at only 21! I was religiously taking pain killers, but nothing was getting better. After only two weeks of treatment my pain was gone! I could play with my son again! I was so happy with my treatment; I even brought my son in for a check-up. After having been pulled out at birth, he had been having trouble rotating his head both directions. After only two adjustments (that's right, TWO!) my son is looking both ways with no problems and he has been happier ever since. I'm so happy I came to Care Chiropractic and even happier I brought my son in. Thanks to Dr.V, I can look forward to a happy and healthy life for me and my son. Thank you, I couldn't have asked for a better SOLUTION. |

Dr. Maria Chou is a very rude and uncaring doctor...., Oct 18, 2011 If you like being treated poorly, then you will love Dr. Maria Chou. She spends no time with you at all, doesn't listen to your concerns, is very rude, and doesn't care about helping you. She is totally apathetic to your health problems. |

I was shocked that such a doctor existed ..., Oct 2, 2011 I had the worst experience with this doctor, during a time when I needed help the most. He was not willing to listen to what I had to say. He came off very rude and insensitive to my situation. He was very much interested in his valuable time, and showed no interest for my well being. |

Dr. Apostolopoulos has a warm and friendly staff who are very helpful..., Aug 29, 2011 The doctors office is gracious and helpful. The doctor is great! I rarely have had to wait. The office is efficient and care about your time and you. It has been a great experience all around. And the doctor is thorough and takes his time in explaining what is needed and why. He is truly a partner in managing your health. |
