  I was shocked by how terrible his bedside manner was...., Mar 1, 2010

I was visiting the doctor because I have had a severe tooth infection. I told him that I didn't need a narcotics prescription because I still had most of my hydrocodone from my last visit. He proceeded to accuse me of trying to con him for drugs. I reiterated that I only wanted antibiotics which have never been used anywhere by anybody for recreational purposes. His entire demeanor was dismissive and condescending.

I would not recommend this physician given my experience. Poor communications and lack of understanding. Referrals were non-compassionate and useless. Five years and my condition has grown worse. Typical commodified, non-caring, so called, "health care." My interests wre not served. His were every time.

Wants to prescribe the meds immediately. Doesn't listen and comes off like an ass. I would not recommend him to anyone. This guy is such an arrogant asshole. Saw him only once and knew this wasn't going to work. Waste of time and money.

I went there to have cholesterol checked, I was there for HOURS, then when i was in the room with Dr. Alvarez he kept falling asleep as i was telling him my issues....Instead of having me undress in a gown he tells me to pull my pants down to my knees, lift my shirt and bra up and when i didnt do it fast enough he did it...HORRIBLE HORRIBLE I will never go back!!!!!!!

Had gone to Dr. Najac office as i was diagonised with cataracts in both eyes. I had a terrible experience with their staff which i want to share with other patients. you will experience for yourself once you go there that what i am writing here is 100% true. The girls at this office are extremely unfriendly. the day of my appointment i was in the street cud see because of my cataracts. i couldnt find their office as it was not on main street there was another entrance to it. so i had to call twice the girl was so rude she almost hung up on me. she didnt want to help. i am shocked that they treat their customers this way. how can they stay in business with so much competition around. they dont answer calls dont answer questions. after a long wait i was able to meet dr najac. he seems to be nice and told me i needed surgery for my cataracts. i scheduled the surgery. because of the girls not following up my surgery was cancelled two days before surgery. i wasted so much time to go for my medical clearance etc to be ready for the surgery. the girls at this office were totally not telling the truth by saying they never received my medical clearnance paperwork. when my doctors secretary faxed them three times and they kept saying they dont have it. she picked up the phone and yelled at them. and right away they say they have it. so that means they were lying all along. I am very disappointed with them. I went all the way to North Shore Eye Care in long island. I got my left eye done by Dr. John Mauro. Service is amazing there. there is a team of four doctors who are sooo good. So organized place. they call you and confirm everything. you exactly know what to expect. I am glad that i didnt get the surgery fm this place as i am scared to think how it would have turned out. Please make sure before you proceed. Good Luck

OUTSTANDING DOCTOR! Dr. Brian J. Mignola, MD, is a really great family doctor. He has been taking care of the medical needs of myself and my parents for several years. He always has been very attentive to all of us. Dr. Mignola is very intelligent as well as very professional. He knows medical issues extremely well and is able to help his patients effectively. In addition, he is very pleasant and down to earth. He treats everyone with respect and takes the time to listen to what his patients have to say and how they feel. He is a very decent and good hearted human being. He cares. In a day and age where it is so hard to find a reliable, thorough, knowledgeable, competent, and trustworthy professional of any kind (medical, financial, legal, etc.), Dr. Mignola is such a person and possesses all of these characteristics. That is, he is reliable, thorough, knowledgeable, competent, and trustworthy. I trust Dr. Mignola. He is the best family physician in Staten Island and NYC.
