  Worst Place I Have Ever Visited, I will Never Go Back..., Aug 23, 2011

The doctor does not apologize if she makes you wait, a common thing for doctors to do. However, if you are fifteen minutes late, she won't see you and makes you get a new appointment. The staff is also impolite.

Cold and uncaring. He refused to listen when told there was excruciating pain. There was MAJOR complications from the surgery which resulted in going to emergency with Bile leaked into entire abdomen and 77 days were spent in the hospital, 3 weeks of which on a ventilator. Doctor would not even look the family or patient in the eyes after that. There is more but I think i made my point.

During my last appointment, lab results were slow in being returned, and were not available for discussion and this doctor promised to call as soon as the results were available. THREE WEEKS later, I still do not have the results of the tests. Repeated calls to the office are deleted from the voice mail with no response whatsoever. Due to a problem with a prescription as written, the pharmacy has also left repeated voice mails with requests for information/instructions, which are also ignored. The outgoing message states that all calls will be returned within 24-48 hours. This has not happened, either for myself or the pharmacy. Not gettng any response from this office is inexecusable.

I injured my shoulder in 2010 while training with a barbell. This is the doctor I ended up going with while looking for a sports medicine doctor who specializes in shoulders. After waiting 3 months for my appointment, and 45 minutes waiting at their office for my appointment, I got maybe 5 minutes of time with the doctor. He ignored me completely when I tried explaining the type of pain I'm going through, and when the injury occurred. He injected my shoulder with cortizone, and told me it was just inflammation. In 2012, my shoulder is getting worse, to the point where I can't ignore the pain at all. I schedule an appointment with a different doctor and the University of Iowa, and on the first appointment, they schedule an arthrogram and MRI. The MRI confirmed that I have a tear in my labrum. If Dr. Mendel would have listened to me, this would have been dealt in 2010, and I would be able to continue training. But now I need surgery, and recovery looked like it'll take between 6-12 months. I can't train during that time. All this because Dr. Mendel refused to give quality healthcare (but still charge a premium healthcare price). My only regret is that this review will give Dr. Mendel 1 star, when it's currently at 0.

I'm sick of paying excessive taxes so these sluts can screw every horny loser who buys them a drink. If she's too cheap to buy her own birth control, and doesn't insist of her partner using a condom, and gets knocked-up, she shouldn't expect others to pay for her medical bills. The federal govt. extorts money from us taxpayers, and PAYS her to have the little bastard. I say, if she can't pay her bills, she should be arrested, and the baby be adopted. This country has NO accountability, and over 1/3 of Americans are living on money they don't themselves earn. It must stop. Welfare whores need to pay their bills, like the rest of us. Judgemental, egotistical, talks down to patients. Pushes way too many medications and unnecessary tests on patients. Hard to reach during business hours, let alone not being able to reach in the evening or weekends.
