Short doctors office visit went really well, all things considered. :)..., Mar 28, 2013 This was my first time seeing Dr. Lazar. I had to take my kids with me because of spring break. The east Memphis office has a great kids room that is plainly visible in the waiting room. That was a great way to keep them occupied during the wait. Once I saw Dr. Lazar, things went really well. He listened to what I had to say and asked probing questions. After a short examination, I was on my way. As far as these things go, it was a pleasing experience. |

Dr Shimkus is a gem, a highly recommended oncologist..., Mar 17, 2013 Dr Shimkus treated my wife's glioblastoma, working with doctors at MD Anderson. He is the most accessible and compassionate doctor I have ever had the experience of knowing. For instance, he has his cell number on his business card and responds to calls or text messages on weekends and evenings! |

The worst experience I've ever had with a doctor! So disappointed!..., Jan 28, 2013 Didn't like Tidwell AT ALL.Judy the NP was sweet but didn't agree with all her advice either.A couple of the office staff were nice including Kay,but receptionist Mina was extremely rude once I decided to leave Tidwell. At 34 weeks Tidwell started implying I might need to deliver early. The first "problem" was the baby wasn't showing sufficient weight gain. Then fluid in the sack seemed low.The next day it was fine. Then baby wasn't moving enough. Then baby showed signs of stress during contractions. Then baby's heartbeat didn't accelerate and stay accelereated during contractions.Every time I went something new was wrong, but the next day the issue would be resolved.VERY SUSPICIOUS!@ 36 weeks I switched to the midwives.I knew they wouldn't pressure me to have a c-section unless it was totally necessary!I had my baby at 38 weeks. He was completely healthy @ 7.1 lbs and 20 1/2 in.Thank you Jesus!Delivery took 4 1/2 hrs but I only pushed 45 minutes!I went all natural. No epidural or anything! My advice:have the courage to leave before it's too late! |

If you're looking to manage pain, find another doctor!!..., Dec 3, 2012 My wife has Crohn's disease, and finding a Dr. to manage pain in Fairbanks has so far proven impossible. We went to see him, and he didn't feel her input was necessary. All he wanted to do was get her off pain medications. Which would be fine IF there was any way to get rid of the chronic horrific pain that Crohn's causes. He said he had no way of knowing if she was really in pain or not. (Guess they didn't cover Crohn's Disease in his medical school) He was rude and just tried to hide his unwillingness to help behind medical terminology. I would not recommend this Dr. to anyone, not even as an anaesthesiologist for surgery. (After all, he has no way of knowing if you're in pain). If you have Crohn's disease, DO NOT move to Fairbanks! We are now in the process of moving from our home in search of actual medical care... |
