Not recommendeddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddd..., May 2, 2011 Dr. Thakur didn't follow up with me, didn't find the source of my symptoms, and didn't respond to my several emails, phone calls, and letters. I missed my health insurance due to not getting a response from him. Very sad situation. Kind man though.

My physician failed to acknowledge, address, and eliminate the source of my pain...., Mar 28, 2010 I had a spinal tap, in order to insure that my persistent flu like symptoms and fever weren’t meningitis. I saw Dr. Thakur to follow up. I had a persistent headache, and he informed me that it was a spinal tap related headache. It was caused by leaky spinal fluid. He advised me to go home, lie flat, and wait for it to go away. It never went away. I used up all of my sick leave at a new job. My headache was present whenever I was upright. These headaches are a lot like migraines in their level of pain. After many weeks, I asked him about a blood patch. My supervisor at work had the same problem after a spinal tap in the past. He told me about it. After I made the suggestion to Dr. Thakur, he referred me to have one. I felt better before I was off the table. Because I’ve had a problem with doctor’s failing to listen and/or address my ailments in the past, I stopped seeing Dr. Thakur. He’s a nice enough guy. It’s easy to establish a rapport with him, but, ultimately, he left me in pain for far too long. Missing days of work, in the modern age, is a quick way to lose your job. I need someone who is mindful of that fact and considerate of my pain and discomfort.

Dr. Alexander Feldman is an A++ Physician with great bedside manner!..., Feb 27, 2013 Dr. Alexander Feldman is a very thorough physician. He has great bedside manner, is very soft spoken and spent a lot of time with me during each visit (three so far!) in the past two months. What stood out was the amount of quality time and care spent during each appointment. He wasn’t like most doctors trying to cram as many patients into a 30 minute slot. He was more focused on quality of care, making sure to complete a detailed examination and communicating options clearly. He is very knowledgeable, detailed and communicative. He explained what he thought was wrong and what my options were to diagnose my symptoms. He did not pressure me to have unnecessary tests. Once diagnosed, he provided visual aids, even drew some diagrams to chart the course of progression. He also provided treatment options and reading material for those options. He is personable and calls you directly to communicate any lab/test results. His calm demeanor is also very reassuring. I would highly recommend Dr. Feldman as an A++ physician! Thank you! Although the same cannot be said for this staff – they are a little rough around the edges. If you can get past that, you will not be disappointed by the doctor himself! |

Rude , didn't listen to me and was condescending the whole time. ..., Dec 10, 2012 Dr Jodi Shields was rude, inconsiderate and lacking in any basic compassion. She did not knock before entering and consequently opened the door while I was changing and proceeded to stand there in the open doorway talking to me. While I had my shirt off! I was very uncomfortable and do not trust her judgement. She had me get a steel plate to put in my shoes that weren't even for what she said was supposedly wrong with my foot. She didn't listen to me. Performed a basic exam and spoke rudely to me most of the time. I wish I had thought to find reviews before I went. Haven't found a positive one yet!! Wish I could leave no stars |

Her license should be REVOKED, at the very least. Don't entrust your health to this woman...., Nov 28, 2012 This woman verbally assaulted me for a solid hour in an exam room. Stupidly, I meekly tried to "defend" myself--under the completely misguided notion that there was anything rational about the assault. She railed at me that I was going to DIE one minute & then later railed at me that I was NOT going to die (insinuating, I guess, that I was taking my serious health issues too...seriously), and then ranted about how I arrived at my appointments "so meticulously put together..." The insanity of the encounter, for me, only rivaled that of my dad violently abusing me as a child. When I was folding my list of questions up to leave, she yelled at me to sit down in my chair. She was so close to blowing right past yelling & becoming physical that I was paralyzed where I sat. For at least 1 full hour I endured this woman's wrath. The cherry on top of this encounter was that she charged both me and my insurance company for the privilege of abusing me. I have very serious health issues & I felt too traumatized to seek out another doctor for 2 years following this assault. I thought she was great when I first started seeing her. After being subjected to the monster, however, I look back & see something different--the exams (gyn) and biopsies she performed on me leave me feeling as though I've been completely & thoroughly violated. She also told me completely erroneous things, like my thyroid would be destroyed and my thyroid needed to be surgically removed. She has absolutely no business being in this business of *helping* people & guiding their health. Do not trust yourself or your loved ones to this woman. You cannot possibly know what will happen & how damaging it will be. |

Dr. West Makes Me Laugh...Even during "that" exam and also makes me feel heard. ..., Nov 26, 2012 I've been seeing Dr. West since 2000. I had to move to L.A. for two years and one of my regrets was having to give up Dr. West. As soon as I moved back to Seattle I immediately signed up to see him. I even talked my husband to see him (his PCP before that was Harborview Emergency). Dr. West spends as much time with you as is necessary. However, the thing that impressed me the most and why I have remained so loyal is that Dr. West isn't a "easy fix" kind of guy. His first instinct isn't pills but exercise, proper diet, mental health, etc. However, if medication is necessary he isn't afraid to prescribe it. The best thing I can say about him is that I've sent him several patients over the years and they all equally sing his praises. (FYI - He is now located in Edmonds at the Edmonds Family Clinic). |
