bad doc xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx..., Mar 29, 2012

My wife went to him with a kidney infection. He said her uretheal tube was obstructed and he would need to operate. He said a simple operation wit a 6" scar and she would be all better. The scar turned into an 18' scar when we asked why he didn't have a reason. He had put a stint in the tube until it healed. He removed the stint causing my wife extreme pain. She developed a fever and had to be rushed to the E.R. The Doctor in the E.R. suggested we go to the Mayo Clinic. The Doctors there couldn't believe the scar and one doctor said he butchered you. I filed a complaint with the Iowa Board of Medicine and two weeks later we received a letter from McFarland Clinic saying we are banned from McFarland Clinics from now on.
I would recommend him to my friends and would use him again. ..., Mar 6, 2012

I was referred by my son- in- law who had shoulder surgery here by the doctor and was very happy with the final results. I also was very pleased with the care I received by the people here. They took me the same day my daughter called and put on the hard cast for me. They always answered all my questions and my wrist feels as good as it did before I broke it. I would recommend him to my friends and would use him again.
Staff does not call to alert patients of problems. ..., Jan 19, 2012

After 5 years as a patient, I made one late payment. The payment was in excess of $100.00 despite my usual $40.00 co-pay. Maybe Dr Leon's staff didn't submit to Aetna. I paid anyway. Months later, they refused to renew a refill and told me that I needed to pay cash for appointments now. They never contacted me about this. Rather, they let me run out of medication and then refused to refill. I had to miss classes that day and find a new GI. My GP was nice enough to authorize enough medication over the phone (on good faith that my labs had been good lately, which they were) until the visit with my new GI. That was lucky, many GPs won't do that, and I am currently stuck with ASU's GPs. Dr Leon's actions were negligent and unethical. I am looking into what legalities this may violate, and will press charges. To this date, Dr Leon had shown himself to be a fine physician, but this incident is unforgivable. His staff had always been a little dodgy. One of his staff tole me she would talk to Dr Leon to see if he would use a little discretion in this instance. I doubt that she did.
Problem solvers - no nonsense and efficient with up to date care..., Jan 17, 2012

They don't mess around - found my problem quickly and got me on the path to recovery quickly. No nonsense. They return phone calls and even emails. Their website is helpful with many educational articles
Dr. Duggal and Staff at Liberty Bay Internal Medicine are highly recommended..., Jan 17, 2012

I have been going to Dr. Duggal for over three years. He has become my primary care physician although I first started seeing him to help manage my degenenerative disk disease along with numerous other age-related difficulties. Dr. Duggal's qualifications in multiple areas of expertise effectively make him several doctors in one, including but not limited to diabetes, hypertension, lipids and pain mangement. Although Dr. Duggal is an expert in pharmacology he also has Dr. Nicholas Wyatt, Pharm D working with him as well. The staff has all been wonderful in helping me with the scheduling of appointments and everything I've needed help with. I highly recommend Liberty Bay Internal Medicine with Dr. Duggal and staff.
