PLEASE DO MORE RESEARCH BEFORE CHOOSING Dr. Ronald Leo..., Nov 18, 2011

These comments are in no way, shape, or form meant as a bashing. This is only meant to communicate my experience with Dr. Ronald Leo over the last several years. It is my opinion that Dr Leo has very poor communication skills and is almost rude when asked for specific details regarding ill side effects and adverse reactions for treatments or medications he has presrcibed to me. On one occassion, he prescribed medication to me that I suffered moderate to severe side effects and when told about it he basically told me that it was all in my head. It seems everytime I have an appointment I spend most of it trying to prove that I am sick. When calling on the phone, I have always had to leave a message which is acceptable if you get a returned call in a timely manner which was very rare. I am disatisfied with the manner in which my health condition has been handled as well as the service he provides. I have requested to see another Dr in the same clinic which requires his consent but he would not give consent. There are 14 other Drs in this clinic that I am not able to use due to this and I now have to seek treatment elsewhere.
i recommend this man to anyone. Him and his office are wonderful!..., Nov 3, 2011

I have seen many chiropractors in my life but I have been with Dr. Wertin for 3 yrs now. His staff is friendly, office is welcoming, and a convenient location. Dr. John himself is very knowledgeable and caring. I recommended him to everyone I know that is looking for someone in the Manhattan area.
***************HORRIBLE, TERRIBLE, DO NOT USE!!!! ..., Oct 12, 2011

I went to the ER with what was diagnosed as gallstones and needed gall bladder removal surgery. He was sweet and funny and told me to call and schedule the surgery for thurs or fri with one of his associates because he would not be able to fit me in the following day, but if he had been able to, he would have admitted me. I called the next day, they told me I needed to go in for a consult, meaning missing more work so that they could get more money?! WHAT?! I said well, I was just supposed to schedule surgery, he already did the exam and history at the hospital, so it's just the paperwork? could you please have him call me since this is not what he told me and I had another person with me that confirmed the same story as I was saying? He called me back, was rude and condecending and told me that he was referring me to another group because I would not want a dr that is unhappy with what I was saying performing my surgery! is that a THREAT?! I was in excruiating pain and he's going to play games?!

Never expected this from a Medical Professional......., Sep 22, 2011

TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL ALL THE WAY AROUND I was recommended by coworkers to go to this Doctor since my previous Doctor retired.Upon walking in to the office all looks professional, but when I met with him everything changed. He had a attitude of a "pompas ass". I explained to him I was looking for a new primary care physician because mine retired.Dr Alonso asked me who my former physican name was and he replied "Script Writer". He also stated that."I better not be DR. shopping in order to get scripts". I explained to him I am a NYC Paramedic with 10years on the job, and never needed a script. He looked at me and laughed. At that point I was insulted and should have walked out but I decided to give him the benefit and let him proceed with the blood work-up. As he was drawing blood I noticed he wasn't wearing gloves which is a big "no no" in the health care field and the topper was he returned the Vacutainer holder along with the tourniquet to the draw for use again on another patient.I questioned him on it because we are taught never to re use any supplies on a patient and I explained it to him He said with a smile"What did you say you do for a living and I stated a Paramedic". His insulting reply was "You guys in NYC may waste money and throw out supplies but not in my office, I discard them when I deem necessary. You are only a Paramedic with a crash course in medicine but I went to medical School and made doctor, Who are you to judge me?Never in my life have I ever been insulted by someone in the Medical field and will never put my foot back in his office. I certainally advise caution in going to this mans practice.
