Short doctors office visit went really well, all things considered. :)..., Mar 28, 2013 This was my first time seeing Dr. Lazar. I had to take my kids with me because of spring break. The east Memphis office has a great kids room that is plainly visible in the waiting room. That was a great way to keep them occupied during the wait. Once I saw Dr. Lazar, things went really well. He listened to what I had to say and asked probing questions. After a short examination, I was on my way. As far as these things go, it was a pleasing experience. |

Go to weight watchers instead don't waste your money here..., Mar 2, 2013 Waited over 45 minutes and only saw the Dr. for 3 minutes. He advised me to try using meal replacement shakes. I could have gotten the same advice from a weight watchers commercial and it wouldn't have cost me $300. I complained to Fairview and a nurse called me, she was very nice, but apparently Dr. Billington was too busy to help me. A month later I got a bill for $300 (this is after my insurance payment). Apparently Dr. Billington lives up to his name, I hope he enjoys his yacht while I lose my house. |

Waste of my time, poor attitude, service from staff..., Feb 22, 2013 I had to make at least 12 calls before I was able to reach the office and schedule an appointment. At times the line was not working. Other times the person left me on hold so long I had to hang up. Finally, I spoke with someone able to answer some basic questions and I accepted the first appointment available 2.5 months later. Before agreeing to request her services I requested to meet the doctor and pay for her time. Her staff person said she didn't know what the cost was that the price was up to the doctor. The morning of my appointment the office seemed geared for high volume and low personal attention. I found staff behavior poor. When answering the phone no one identified who they were. None of the 3 women I met after I arrived introduced herself. I saw no name tags. The reception desk person scanned my license without explaining or asking permission. With all the ID theft taking place nationwide that made me uncomfortable. The young woman who escorted us from the reception to the exam room addressed a lady that was there at the same time and I as "dear" and "girls." After I waited in the exam room an unhappy looking woman introduced herself as the office manager and closed the door. She said she was sorry (she didn't appear sorry but rather in a hurry for me to leave). She went on to say that the doctor and her colleagues in the practice never meet people before they become patients, implying I should leave. She waited to make sure I left the exam room. |

Excellent psychiatrist-great care without over-medicating..., Jan 19, 2013 Excellent psychiatrist. Provides great care without over-medicating. I worked with a few psychiatrists before her that kept adding medications. She reduced the number of medications I take and I feel much better. |

Her license should be REVOKED, at the very least. Don't entrust your health to this woman...., Nov 28, 2012 This woman verbally assaulted me for a solid hour in an exam room. Stupidly, I meekly tried to "defend" myself--under the completely misguided notion that there was anything rational about the assault. She railed at me that I was going to DIE one minute & then later railed at me that I was NOT going to die (insinuating, I guess, that I was taking my serious health issues too...seriously), and then ranted about how I arrived at my appointments "so meticulously put together..." The insanity of the encounter, for me, only rivaled that of my dad violently abusing me as a child. When I was folding my list of questions up to leave, she yelled at me to sit down in my chair. She was so close to blowing right past yelling & becoming physical that I was paralyzed where I sat. For at least 1 full hour I endured this woman's wrath. The cherry on top of this encounter was that she charged both me and my insurance company for the privilege of abusing me. I have very serious health issues & I felt too traumatized to seek out another doctor for 2 years following this assault. I thought she was great when I first started seeing her. After being subjected to the monster, however, I look back & see something different--the exams (gyn) and biopsies she performed on me leave me feeling as though I've been completely & thoroughly violated. She also told me completely erroneous things, like my thyroid would be destroyed and my thyroid needed to be surgically removed. She has absolutely no business being in this business of *helping* people & guiding their health. Do not trust yourself or your loved ones to this woman. You cannot possibly know what will happen & how damaging it will be. |
