Absolutely love Dr. Bukowski - he has been a great pediatric urologist for my daughter..., May 20, 2010 My daughter has been seeing Dr. Bukowski since 7 wks old for an ectopic ureter issue that connected improperly to her vaginal wall. He did a ureterostomy at 11 wks for her, and left it for approximately 6 mos. That surgery was followed up with a ureter implantation surgery to connect it to the bladder as expected. The next 6 yrs our daughter continued seeing Dr. Bukowski regularly for recurring kidney infections not resolved by the operations. At every visit we usually waited at least an hour. While this sounds like an annoyance to some, when you get in to see him, and he spends as much time with you as you need to get all your questions answered, you grow to appreciate he's one of the few MD's out there that really cares enough to listen to his patients and their concerns and never tries to rush you out to see the next person. In recent discussions around our daughter's situation, he spent over an hour on the phone with me talking through options we have around resolving her infections issues. An hour of no-copay related time as he was driving to his child's baseball game and trying to help us make the best decision for our child's care. I can handle a few delayed appts when I know the outcome involves thorough discussions around our baby girl's situation. On Friday, May 14, our daughter (now 6 1/2) had a second ureteral reimplant surgery under Dr. Bukowski's care. On Sunday the MD on call came to release her without examining any part of her issues. He didn't even know her complications and said very abruptly "it's all normal. You can take out the catheter and go home." Well, as any mother who worries would do, I had Dr. B paged, who spoke to both me and the nurse on the floor and decided we should monitor another day or two. He made the trip personally over to see her the following day and examined before discussing our options. He had been in surgery all day that day at UNC and came specifically for us. like i was saying it has been A long time ago that ..., Apr 19, 2010 It has been quite a long time ago but I still feel like sending an admirable review of the times we all shared....... I tried to express this in other ways but did not think that i got through but i hope that this finds you......

Avoid at all costs!!! Terrible doctor who imposes conservative beliefs on patients!..., May 21, 2013 I had slim pickings with my new HMO so I chose Dr. Galiano because he was downtown near my office. I was always in/out in 30 minutes which was great BUT he would always make snide comments to me. He asked "Why would you need a blood test for STDs? Are you promiscuous?" All I wanted was to get a checkup and figured I could test for STDs since they were already taking my blood. I didn't need a judgement. Recently I went in to get a blood test to see if I was pregnant. This was an unplanned pregnancy so it was really scary. He proceeded to lecture me by saying "The body is made for reproducing and you should not be having sex if you do not want to reproduce." I have never been more offended in my life! He also refused a blood test because he said it would be a waste of money and I needed to wait longer than 2.5 weeks. 2.5 weeks or not I was scared and needed medical guidance in which I received judgement and lectures. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! |

I would not recommend her to a friend. Get a second opinion..., Apr 7, 2013 I would not recommend her to a friend. She over-diagnoses and over-treats. Make sure you get a second opinion to be certain of the diagnosis before you commit to treatment. Thank you very much and that is all I am going to say... |

Verbally abusive, egotistical monster with long history of drug addiction..., Feb 22, 2013 This so-called doctor runs a shoddy "treatment" center where professionals are essentially extorted for money. For $10,000 a month, for a mimimum of three months, clients enjoy daily humiliation at the hands of underqualified, detached counselors. It's like a prison, where snitching on your peers for minor infractions is encouraged and results in punishment, usually physical labor and loss of contact with your family. It creates an atmisphere that breeds paranoia and hostility, like an episode of Survivor gone horribly awry. Dr Teitelbaum is the director/warden of this expensive little internment camp. He is incredibly arrogant, rude, and sensitive only to his own ego. Possibly the only man ever diagnosed with penis envy, he is derisive and insulting to his patients. It is an incredible abuse of power, and he is as sadistic as he is incompetent. He frequently confuses patients and their histories, and his reports read like works of fiction. I could never have imagined such an emotionally and psycholoogcally damaging environment in the name of "therapy." Shame on Shands Hospital for allowing this to continue. Do whatever you can to avoid this physician and his treatment center. Go out of state if you have to. Avoid him and Florida Recovery Center at all cost. I sure wish I had. |

thumbs up for park avenue lasek, dr. chynn and his entire team..., Dec 27, 2012 About two years ago I considered laser eye correction but wasn’t able to get it done back then. Through my research I kept coming back to Dr. Chynn’s Park Avenue LASEK. So although I wasn’t able to get it then I stored it in my bookmarks. Naturally, when I started thinking about laser vision correction I eagerly went and looked up Dr. Chynn again. The site made it clear that the caliber of care would and attention to detail was in every aspect of the staff. I called and made my FREE consultation and was not disappointed. In fact I was never more excited at this cutting edge technique of NO CUT, NO FLAP making it SAFER than the older technique that is still widely used elsewhere. Even more excited is how affordable it is at Park Avenue Lasek. The staff is also great. It helps that most have had the procedure done themselves so when they talk it’s with firsthand experience. Dr. Almeida answered every question I had and proved very patient and knowledgeable. And Dr. Chynn oversees ever aspect and is right there to personally meet with and answer any additional questions that each client has. If you’re interested in vision correction than Park Avenue Lasek is THE place. And if you’re not interested in laser vision correction I challenge you to just take a few minutes to look at their site. Do your own research, I know you won’t regret it.
