Kitty has sharp claws! Ouch!! Alpha Female Power itch..., Nov 23, 2011 I was having trouble with a physical therapist who had done a poor evaluation and was in a great deal of dysfunction and pain related to my spine/pelvis/hips. I was encouraged to see Shenk for a more in depth exam. My husband and I drove three hours to see her. She supported the P.T. entirely without doing a good exam and lectured me as if I were a naughty child. MOst of the appointment was me picking my jaw up off the floor because I was so shocked at her attitude. I was basically set up for more failures and the opportunity to regain function back to my spine and hips to a good level is LONG GONE! Shameful woman-doesn't seem to understand the definition of objective or compassion or thorough. Good luck! |

Don't trust anything the staff says and find everything out for yourself..., Nov 22, 2011 Dr Simpson gave my husband options for what could be the problem. He recommended getting an echocardiogram as a precaution if insurance would cover it. My husband then said we only wanted it done if insurance covered it. The man who checked us out said that they would contact us if we would be charged, and if we were not contacted then we would be good to go. Because of this, we signed the consent form there and at the imaging center because we were never told we would owe a dime, so we thought we were good to go and not have to pay anything. A week later, we are billed $2000. Someone put in the notations we were told about the amount, so that was not true, and since they have our signature legally we had to pay. We could have contacted our insurance, but he said they would take care of it since it was less then 24 hours before our next appointment. They were not willing to fess up to their mistake, and treated us poorly after that. So because of them not be willing to step up to the plate and take the blame for their lack of communication, we have to pay in order for it not to hurt our credit. Be aware if you go this doctor to not trust a single thing they say. Check everything out for yourself before you sign anything. They also slip something in to the stack of papers you fill out at first to cover themselves, and apparently you don't have to sign it even though they say when they hand it to you to fill everything out and hand it back in. They say they followed their procedure exactly, and maybe they did...but we were told something different then their policy and since we don't work there, and that had been our first time there, we did not know their policy, and decided to trust what they said. Don't do it. The doctor seemed intelligent and caring, just do not believe what Travis or Becky say. Even when my husband called Dr Simpson's assistant to see if they could explain anything, she called back and rudely said "I don't know who you are or what you want..." So |

Incompetent and bill me for service that I never had..., Oct 19, 2011 Dr Sean Haugh is not a very professional doctor. He billed me for office visit that I never have. He never return call when I need to reach him. This doctor is also not very competent on his job. He can't even give me a fine diagnosis on my illness. Whenever I asked him my diagnosis; he will defer to something else and never really want to answer my question. My advise is to avoid this doctor because you will end up paying more than you have to and on the top of it you didn't get a good care. |

Very reliable doctor with good attitude and special attention..., Sep 6, 2011 Dr. Sam, as I call him, provides me with exellent health care for what I think is a fair price. Their practice charges a bit more to be a member of, but I certainly receive more than just compensation in attention and expertise. Dr. Sam's practice provides a standard of healthcare that all patients should have access to. I would like to see a tax rebate available for those of us who put in in more money for healthcare on top of insurance, but I won't hold my breath for that. Bottom line for me and my family is that we would not trust anyone else with our health and well being outiside of Dr. Sam's practice. We actually chose not to move out of Peoria mostly for this reason. |
