Doctor Charges you for asking you questions on your baby...., Mar 1, 2013
Short Story: THIS DOCTOR OVERCHARGES FOR SERVICES THAT THEY DID NOT EVER PROVIDE. BEWARE!!
This is my daughter pediatrician since birth. She is now 20 months old. We have roughly 10 or so wellness checkups as is the norm for babies. Every month or so.
Every time we have gone, the wait time is ridiculous. At least 30-45 mins. The time with the doctor feels rushed and the service not very warm.
Those are the positives.
Now the bad part. Recently Dr. Lee saw my daughter for a routine wellness check up. These are covered by my insurance at no charge. The doctor took 45 mins to see me. Then proceeded to ask me when she came in "How long did my girl have a respiratory infection?' This was apparently because my baby had some snot hanging from her nose. Who knew? Babies that are snotty all have respiratory infections? Well anyhow, it was the first time in over a week that my daughter had a runny nose and I informed the doctor that it was nothing more than a runny nose and it just started. So the check up proceeded and Dr. Lee asked me about my wife’s and my decision to not vaccine our daughter. To which I said, we had not changed our mind and that we were still keeping that opinion. The doctor of course getting paid by the pharma group to give these pushed them again, to which we declined.
So finally the doctor continued on with the wellness check only to say my girls weight was a little big, but not to be concerned. Finally, as the doctor was checking with my girls legs and arms and what not, she asked if I had any questions. To which I said one. My daughter had some dry skin on her back. I asked the doctor if she had any recommendations for what to put on the dry skin. The doctor said cortisone cream.
So after all of this, the visit wasn’t the problem. The invoice for services was. The doctor charge for the wellness check. In addition, she charged for the time that was used to talk to me about my daughter's runny nose, the vaccines that we
Waste of my time, poor attitude, service from staff..., Feb 22, 2013
I had to make at least 12 calls before I was able to reach the office and schedule an appointment. At times the line was not working. Other times the person left me on hold so long I had to hang up. Finally, I spoke with someone able to answer some basic questions and I accepted the first appointment available 2.5 months later.
Before agreeing to request her services I requested to meet the doctor and pay for her time. Her staff person said she didn't know what the cost was that the price was up to the doctor.
The morning of my appointment the office seemed geared for high volume and low personal attention. I found staff behavior poor. When answering the phone no one identified who they were. None of the 3 women I met after I arrived introduced herself. I saw no name tags. The reception desk person scanned my license without explaining or asking permission. With all the ID theft taking place nationwide that made me uncomfortable. The young woman who escorted us from the reception to the exam room addressed a lady that was there at the same time and I as "dear" and "girls."
After I waited in the exam room an unhappy looking woman introduced herself as the office manager and closed the door. She said she was sorry (she didn't appear sorry but rather in a hurry for me to leave). She went on to say that the doctor and her colleagues in the practice never meet people before they become patients, implying I should leave. She waited to make sure I left the exam room.
Misdiagnosed my child Prescribed dangerous medication...., Feb 11, 2013
Wow. Character Limit. Sucks cause there is a lot to tell. I will make some points. 1) I had to guess my child's diagnostic and he would just agree with me. 2) Told me my child has pinworms when complaining about belly pain and constipation without even checking in a lab ( my child was later diagnosed at the ER with Encopresis ). 3) Prescribes Tylenol for everything from headaches to possibly cancer. 4) Call to make an appointment for lung check when my child had a severe flu but instead I was sent to the Pharmacy where a prescription will be sent. went to the Pharmacy and everything was Over the Counter.5)GI doctor requested a note in December from him. It is February and the GI never received it. 6) Called to get something for my son's cough. Transferred through three different receptionists ( one was chewing her food while on the phone with me).Got prescription for ASTHMA medication.Pharmacist asked me not to give my son the medication as it is dangerous.Encopresis+med=Renal Failure

Pornographic Comments During Procedure DISGUSTING DOCTOR..., Dec 28, 2012
I just have to relay this story. I had a colonoscopy by Dr. Kenneth Brown in Plano, TX and I was thoroughly disgusted. I was supposed to be sedated but I was NOT and I remember the discussions that went on during the procedure. He made disgusting pornographic comments non-stop. He talked about his sexual exploits, made disgusting and insulting comments about his wife, and talked about how men cannot be expected to be faithful in marriage. He made comments about relative genatalia size among men. It was a thoroughly humiliating experience for me as a female.
I would NEVER go to this physician again and I cannot recommend him one bit.
