Poor customer service. No compassion. Not helpful. Rude. No resolutions offered. ..., May 14, 2013

Regarding our appointment this morning of May 14, 2013. Upon arriving my 94 year old mother was anxious to to avail herself to the services of Dr. Kligman for chronic neck pain. I had been referred to Dr. Kligman by my personal physician. Upon presenting my mothers insurance card we were informed that it would not be excepted as Dr. Kligman was not listed as the primary care physician. I was disappointed to say the least when i was informed of this, as it was never explained to me when the appointment for a new patient was made that Dr. Kligman would have to be elected as her primary care physician in order for her insurance card to be accepted and to be seen by the Dr. I told the receptionist behind the desk that Healthnet would absolutely pay as I occasionally bring my mother to other primary care physicians that are not listed on her insurance card with out issues from the insurance company (healthnet). No avenue of resolution was offered by the receptionist, and in my opinion I was treated very rudely and was also told that my attitude was not appreciated, at which time I told her I also did not appreciate her shortness with me either, to which she exclaimed that I came into the office with that attitude, which is NOT the case. I became agitated because after waiting 4 months for this appointment I felt that it was neglgent on their part that we were never informed that in order to be seen we would need to elect Dr. Kligman as our primary care physician prior to our appointment. I believe this was an oversight in their policy and not a fault of the patient. I asked her to call the insurance company to verify that there would be no problem and was rebuffed, at which time I thought it best that I call the insurance company so their office would be assured of payment. Verbally abusive, egotistical monster with long history of drug addiction..., Feb 22, 2013

This so-called doctor runs a shoddy "treatment" center where professionals are essentially extorted for money. For $10,000 a month, for a mimimum of three months, clients enjoy daily humiliation at the hands of underqualified, detached counselors. It's like a prison, where snitching on your peers for minor infractions is encouraged and results in punishment, usually physical labor and loss of contact with your family. It creates an atmisphere that breeds paranoia and hostility, like an episode of Survivor gone horribly awry. Dr Teitelbaum is the director/warden of this expensive little internment camp. He is incredibly arrogant, rude, and sensitive only to his own ego. Possibly the only man ever diagnosed with penis envy, he is derisive and insulting to his patients. It is an incredible abuse of power, and he is as sadistic as he is incompetent. He frequently confuses patients and their histories, and his reports read like works of fiction. I could never have imagined such an emotionally and psycholoogcally damaging environment in the name of "therapy." Shame on Shands Hospital for allowing this to continue. Do whatever you can to avoid this physician and his treatment center. Go out of state if you have to. Avoid him and Florida Recovery Center at all cost. I sure wish I had.

tuvi mendel NEVER diagnosed a painful, debilitating post op staph infection. Leaving me with considerable damage and ongoing pain. I pleaded with him that it had to be infected. He insisted repeatedly it was not.............It WAS. Why tuvi, why!!!! The symptoms were SO obvious.

I would not suggest doctor Joseph Hooper to anybody. I have never taken the time to write a review on a product or services of any kind before, but he will treat you with such disdain that I hope that no one ever has to suffer his treatment. He has only his experiences to base his life "opinions" on and if you are not someone with simple problems he has dealt with before, then you are wrong in his eyes and he will make a point to tell you. If you try and discuss your issues with him, he will tell you that you are just seeking special attention, that you are faking and he will talk down to you as if you were his child. If you try and make any retorts to his insults, he will then proceed to mumble insults under his breath right in front of you as if you are too stupid to know what he is doing. If you want to leave your doctor in tears or livid with anger, then by all means, go to him, but if you wanted to be treated with respect from your "care giver", then save yourself the grief and time and seek a different doctor. He told me that my psychiatric symptoms weren't real and upon realizing that I did need proper help, he very abrasively asked if I was going to kill myself and then told me I could find another doctor. That being said, I was always able to get either same day or next day appointments anytime I called and I can only assume, after reading similar reviews, that he just doesn't hold on to any of his patients and therefore his schedule is always open.
